Abstract: Some representative steel structural buildings at home and abroad were discussed from the point of view of architectural form and function, structural system and construction, engineering cost and environmental protection et al. Then the common character of excellent designs and the deficiency of some controversial designs were separately summarized. The essential of steel structural buildings was generalized. Furthermore the criteria of excellent design in the current engineering construction were proposed and expounded from three aspects. At last how to produce excellent designs was explored.

Abstract: Abstract: the process condition of combined treatment of wastewater produced from the polytetrahydrofuran (PolyTHF) with iron-carbon micro-electrolysis-biological method was studied, and the results showed that with Fe-C proportion of 1:1, pH value of about 3.0 and contact time of 30min, the wastewater CODcr removal rate could reach higher than 75% when 0.15g/ml of Fe-C was input, thus the biodegradability of wastewater was greatly improved. After treatment, the wastewater was treated with biological method with a water outlet COD less than 100mg/L, conforming to the first-level quality of national stipulation about comprehensive discharge standard of sewage.

Abstract: In the underground building, Light environment and thermal environment is poorer, in order to improve the problem, this paper brings forward a new type of lighting and ventilation system model; discusses the principle and characteristics of transmission; and analyses the question that influences lighting and ventilated effect in the application. Structure design and numerical simulation is the focus of the next step.

Abstract: This research mainly is about the ecological risk and the distribution features of the PAHs in the sediment of Taihu lake as well as the source of PAHs by studying 38 sediment samples of the Taihu Lake. The results show the 16 PAHs which the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released as priority pollutants in sediments were detected in sediments of Taihu Lake .PAHs in surface sediments at the study area are mainly from the combustion of wood and coal and pyrolysis of fossil fuels; high ring compounds, on behalf of fossil fuels, on the conditions of pyrolysis and high temperature, accounts the total of PAHs for 75.1%.The ecological risk of PAHs is relatively low in surface sediments at the study area, but the river estuary Naphthalene, Acenaphthene, Acenaphthylene, Fluorene, Phenanthrene, Anthracene, at partial the sampling points in the entry of the river, are exceeding to the corresponding TEL, may have a negative effect on the ecological environment.

Abstract: According to the relevant code standards and specifications for the septic tanks at home and aboard, the design and calculation methods of septic tank in USA, Australia, Ireland and China are compared. The results showed that the design volume in China is obviously less than that of the others, and the main reason lies in the difference in the aspects of the application environment and the management and maintenance of septic tank, and the delay update of codes and standards related to the septic tank design. Furthermore, the undersized volume will lead to the malfunction of septic tank.

Abstract: Faced with the increasingly serious problems of water resources, "China's economic and social development Twelfth Five-Year Plan" proposed to promote energy saving and emission reduction, the technical transformation of domestic water, and the utilization of recycled water. According to this, the paper mainly studies the city residential sewage reuse. First it analyzes the situation of China's urban water resources and feasibility of urban residence sewage reuse. Then through investigation and study, it divides the domestic sewage into three categories: namely, high-quality sewage, medium-quality sewage, and low-quality sewage, and for different types of sewage are treated in different ways. Key part of this paper is the domestic sewage reuse system design, this design reflects the characteristics of effective use of sewage resources and reduce energy consumption, possesses the environmental utility of saving water, reducing pollution and wastewater emissions. The purpose of this paper is effective use of domestic sewage, so as to achieve the environmental and social usefulness of energy saving and emission reduction.

Abstract: Modern urban surface is gradually covered by water blocking material in China, it has been increasing the city and its surrounding areas on the ecological significance of the "man-made desert" effect. In this paper, taking Xi'an as an example, the authors discuss the possibility to build a whole city water environment through the transformation of city hardened of surface. Xi'an has obvious characteristics of seasonal rainfall, taking the transforming of city's eco-permeable surface as a starting point, will contribute to the gradual recovery of the city’s function as an ecological nodes and the basic "metabolism"; restoration and reconstruction of urban water environment, improving the living environment, highlighting the "Chang’an eight water" pattern and context features of the city.

Abstract: In a VAV system the static pressure can be reseted based on the change of load. At low load conditions the duct static pressure can be adjusted lower, that make VAV terminal air valves in large opening as far as possible.And lower fan outlet pressure can effectively reduce fan energy consumption. This paper presents a method using iterative algorithm to control the fan frequency. It can improve the dynamic quality of the control system. Satisfying the requirements under lower static pressure so as to achieve the purpose of energy-saving.

Abstract: The central heating model of a residential area in the suburb of Xi’an city was established to make a comparative study on central heating by different heat sources (natural gas boiler, coal boiler and biomass boiler). In the study, the method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was used to compare the central heating method with different heat sources from the aspects of economy and environmental impact. The results showed that, with the prerequisite of biomass boiler technology’s further advancement, developing biomass boiler heating technology on a large scale was feasible considering biomass’s social benefit and its characteristics of low pollution, large reserves and renewable.

Abstract: Electrostatic precipitator (ESP) is one of the most important and efficient applicants in industrial dust pollution protection. The charging method of ESP influences the efficient of dust-collection and operating stability of ESP markedly. A new pulsed high-voltage supplying technology of ESP was proposed in this paper. The principles of the pulsed high-voltage supplying circuit and the energy recuperation circuit are studied. The simulation experiments certified their feasibility and innovativeness.
