Abstract: They were investigated, observed and analyzed about the windbreak and sand-fixation forests configuration structure, windbreak and sand-fixation benefits, and soil improvement effect of Maowusu sandy land area of Yulin, the results showed that its structure type of windbreak and sand-fixation forests was close with the affection of windbreak and sand-fixation. Tree height and crown width played the leading role in wind prevention efficiency, and afforestation density, surface branch number and herb coverage were closely related with sand-fixation affection. If the condition was allowed, windbreak and sand-fixation forests should be constructed by using the fixture structure of arbors and bushes. The close relationship of moisture profit and loss of windbreak and sand-fixation forest and herb density was y = -0.0002 x2+ 1.3034 x - 1181.2 (R2 = 0.9614). Biomass in unit area in windbreak and sand-fixation forests was higher in the areas among hills than in windward slopes. There was a positive correlation between the single cluster biomass and crown widths of the shrubs, the relational coefficient was 0.82. The organic matters in woodland soil in windbreak and sand-fixation forest had increased significantly, and the nutrient status had improved greatly, but overall the soil was still poor.

Abstract: The composition of the fatty acids of the extracted seed oil from Sindora glabra was determined by means of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. And the physicochemical properties of the oil were also analyzed according to the national standards. The results indicated that 14 fatty acid components were identified in seed oil of Sindora glabra, and the content of unsaturated acids was 61.72%,and the main fatty acids were linoleic acid(33.17%),oleic acid(19.80%),Palmitic acid (14.57%),lignoceric acid (5.06%),stearic acid (4.63%),hexacosanoic acid (2.95%), docosanoic acid(2.70%), pentacosanoic acid (2.17%). The physicochemical indexes were as follows relative density 0.9143,acid value 3.905 mg/g, iodine value 109.01 g/100g, saponification value 154.6 mg/g, and index of refraction 1.4753.

Abstract: Before correct forest management decision is made, it’s a core issue that gripping the forest stand structure and dynamic variation regularity, estimating the production capacity of stands and effects after adopting particular silvicultural technical measures in different site conditions. A variety of stand growth and yield prediction models are precisely to solve these problems to provide effective guidance. In this dissertation, through sampling and researching Meihekou forest stumpage data, the individual growth models of Pinus koraiensis were established, including the crown width growth prediction model and the crown length growth prediction model. These models can reflect the growth of individual growth state, but also the performance of the various factors affecting the growth, and provide a scientific basis for reasonable forest management.

Abstract: In this paper, in order to ensure stable and efficient operation of a pilot-scale modified A2/O (anoxic/anaerobic/aerobic/pre-anoxic) -MBR plant, the automatic control system based on PLC is designed and introduced from the views of system configuration and unit control methods. The master computer undertakes the monitoring and managing task by Siemens WINCC 7.0 configuring software, while the slave computer implements the function of data collection and automatic control based on Siemens S7-300 PLC. Intelligent PID algorithm is utilized to precisely control the influent flow rate, recycled flow rate and DO concentration in aerobic tank in this system. The commissioning and operation practice has proved that the PLC-based automatic control system greatly improved the degree of automation and achieved high nutrient removal efficiency in this plant.

Abstract: The paper studied capacity of Indica and Japonica in seedling for Sr2+ stress in different concentration. Seedlings of Indica and Japonica were cultured in 6 different gradient concentrations by using Hoagland solution. Fresh weight and dry weight, rice pigment content, enzyme activity for stress tolerance etc. were measured. The results showed that Sr2+ in low concentration could promote development and with high fresh/dry weight. At 10mmol/L of Sr2+ concentration, dry weight of Japonica Jing925 was increased by 27.40%, compared with control. However, Indica CG132R was only 7.8% over its control. Sr2+ of high concentration inhibited plant growth. They had higher chlorophyll content no matter Indica or Japonica when they were cultured in low Sr2+concentration. In contrast, their chlorophyll contents were decreased. Japonica had higher POD activity than Indica, and Indica had higher CAT activity than Japonica. All in all, Japonica Jing925 had stronger defense ability than Indica CG132R in adversity environment.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the spatial distribution patterns and the amounts of seedling density of S. pennata in different sample dunes in Gurbantonggut Desert. Results indicate that spatial patterns of seedling emergence of S. pennata were of general similar with the distribution patterns of its associated standing vegetations, and was greatly associated with spatial distribution of the threshold wind (≥6m.s-1) frequency from the various directions. There existed a significant difference in its seedling emergence patterns among the different parts of the dunes and the different directions around its parent vegetation beds. The highest seedling density was found to be on the top parts of sampling dunes and at the underlayer of standing vegetation beds of S. pennata, and higher seedling densities usually took place in the leeward side of the vegetation beds. These results had revealed the ecological characteristics of the population distribution rule and the recruitments mechanism of S. pennata.

Abstract: The effect of different harvest date on the quality and yield of stevia has been studied in the open field. The results showed that if the stevia was harvested at 65-85 days after transplanted, not only the yield was lower, but also the total content of glycosides of stevia and the content of Rebaudioside A (RA) and Stevoiside (STV) were lower. And the stevia harvested at 105 days after transplanted had similar results to that harvested at 65-85 days after transplanted. The results from the analysis to all the records of this experiment were that stevia could get the best quality and yield if they were harvested at 95 days after transplanted.

Abstract: Using PEG400 and glycerol as liquefacient, the residue from bamboo processing was liquefied at the presence of a catalyst. Liquefaction technology of residue from bamboo processing in polyhydric alcohols was studied by orthogonally-designed experiment, and the liquefaction products were applied in the preparation of flexible polyurethane foam. The result showed that liquefaction rate could reach as high as 99.32% when liquefaction temperature was 160°C, mass ratio of liquid to solid was 4:1 and liquefaction time was 90min. Hydroxyl value of liquefaction products obtained was 56.63mgKOH/g and viscosity was 300mPa•s. Flexible polyurethane foam prepared from liquefaction products was analyzed with infrared spectrum and scanning electron microscope, and was compared with conventional flexible polyurethane foam.

Abstract: The beach plum, Prunus maritima Marsh is native to the sandy North Atlantic coast, from Newfoundland to North Carolina. It can grow well without irrigation, even on low-nutrient sandy soils, saline land, old-field and coastal beach where many other plants cannot survive. It is fine rootstock to improve stress tolerance of cion. The fruits of beach plum can be made into delicious jams, jellies and wine. This paper is aimed to introduce beach plum to people, and hope it can become an important multipurpose crop in Chinese coastal beach in the future.

Abstract: Medicinal Botanical Garden possess the function in lunching research, scientific pervasion, preserving species of endangered medicinal plants and the quality of local medical plants resource, and can be provided with promoting the practice teaching of discipline related to pharmacy, carrying out plantation demonstration of medicinal plants, and display the tourism resource. The medicinal plant in the garden will be displayed and introduced by several ways which will popularize the scientific knowledge. Mimic the new environment, introducing suitable quantity new species, specification monitoring, which make endangered medicinal plants more successful. The theory of breeding mechanism and preservation of biodiversity will be developed through gathering the idea of different subject researcher and the interaction of multi-discipline. And developing new breeding methods and exploring distinctive new drug elements which will prompt botanical garden research. The potential function of botanical garden can be explored and expanded through multi-directional development which will dedicate to human society.
