Abstract: Experiments according to the current domestic situation of bio-treatment cooking fume, domesticated the activated sludge which taken from the oxidation ditch of the sewage treatment plant by using the simulated cooking fumes, discussed the concentration and morphology variation of activated sludge, researched the degradation ability of microorganism on cooking fume, the change of bacteria amount were studied in the whole process. Research showed that the sludge concentration decreased to 2878mg/L when the acclimatization time reached 50days; outlet and inlet oil concentration were consistent when the acclimatization time reached 30days while liquid fume concentration decreased to 8.436mg/L, the degradation rate of activated sludge on liquid fume was about 75% after 30 days; Microbial biomass increased first and then down become stable finally.

Abstract: In order to investigate the effects of the concentration of NaCl, the medium components and the recombinant type on the expression of the ectoine synthase genes ectABC in Escherichia coli BL21, ectABC and their promotor sequence from Cobetia marina CICC10367 were cloned. The cloned sequence was restructured with expression vector pET43.1 and then the recombinant vector was transformed into E. coli BL21. Two types of recombinant were obtained including recombinant ect03, the restructured ectABC and recombinant pect21, the restructured ectABC with promotor. The expression products of these two recombinants were identified by 1H-NMR and the effect of induction method and condition on the expression of ectoine was investigated. The result indicated that low concentration of NaCl was conducive to the expression of ectoine in recombinant ect03. The highest concentration of ectoine from recombinant ect03 was 216.1 g/L in MMG medium under 0.5% NaCl. The use of monosodium glutamate improved the expression of ectoine significantly. Higher concentration of NaCl (3%) was conducive to the expression of ectoine in recombinant pect21.

Abstract: Bioleaching as an effective method is used to remove the heavy metal from sewage sludge, but the current study of this method in China is little. This article describes the main factors that affect the effect of bioleaching, including sludge solids concentration and type, substrate type and dosage, temperature, aeration rate, microbial species and inoculum, initial pH and etc.

Abstract: Nowadays the global ecological and environmental problems have become increasingly prominent. Land deterioration seriously restricts the regional development of society and economy and threats to the survival of humans. We carried out a series of experiments on ecological restoration of melilotus offcinalia in various types of environment like strong saline-alkali land, barren land and mine land for the first time. The comparison of soil indexes between restoration soil and background soil shows that melilotus offcinalia can removal off salinity and base of the strong saline-alkali soil and increase the nutrient contents in various types of soil. Moreover, melilotus offcinalia can improve physical properties of soil, which will increase the land coverage and improve land productivity. Consequently, melilotus offcinalia can be promoted in stages for soil amelioration and ecological restoration in various types of ecological environment.

Abstract: The earthworm is an omnivorous animal low saprophytic, has a strong ability to decompose organic waste. The earthworm can directly grows on dung, consume a large amount of organic waste, numerous research reports, earthworm on heavy metal elements have very strong enrichment. Therefore, the use of earthworms as a bioreactor for animal feces, excessive heavy metals to biological concentration, reduce the content of heavy metals in animal feces, is a task that is worth to discuss. Taking the rural animal feces in the largest number, the most widely distributed of cow dung as study objects, to carry out the earthworm absorption in cow dung, Zn Pb Cu, the study of the optimum conditions for the further study of Earthworm on cattle manure, heavy metal enrichment techniques provide a basis.

Abstract: Homoharringtonine(HHT) is very important for leucocythemia therapy and is extracted mainly from rare or endangered plants belonging to cephalotaxus. Twenty strains with various morphological structures were isolated from Cephalotaxus oliveri Mast, in which strain of gyzy-6 could produce HHT testified by TLC and HPLC analyzing the extracts from fermentation broth and were grouped into Schizophyllum sp. based on the Neighbor-Joining approach to reveal the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequence.

Abstract: The composition and structure of pupa skin were studied by means of chemical analysis and electron microscopy. The main composition and the content of chitin were determined. Therefore, the utilization value of the pupa skin was confirmed and a preliminary exploration was made on the process of extracting chitin from the pupa skin, and a property comparison was conducted between chitin from pupa skin and that from shrimp and crab.

Abstract: Multidisciplinary comprehensive investigations were conducted in the western South Yellow Sea in the summer, 2006 and spring, 2007. The abundance and distribution pattern of a dominant zooplankton species, Calanus sinicus, and its relationship with the environmental conditions are analyzed. The data of C. sinicus and hydrological parameter in the spring and summer of 1959 are used to compare the variations of C. sinicus and hydrographical conditions in the past 50 years. Results show that the abundance of C. sinicus was significantly higher in 2006 and 2007 than that in 1959 which may be correlate with both the bottom-up and top-down effects; the distribution pattern in the spring of the two years was similar, on the contrary, However, the hydrographical characteristics were conspicuously different between the two springs, for example, the coverage and strength of the Qingdao Cold Water Mass, the penetrating pathway of Yellow Sea Warm Current and the distribution pattern of the oceanic front. Correspondingly, the distribution pattern of C. sinicus in the summer of the two years showed great differences. Thus, it is suggested that the distribution pattern of C. sinicus in summer might be influenced by the hydrographical characteristics in spring, which probably further affects the present of some economically important fishes which fed on C. sinicus.

Abstract: This study is focusing on the protein sand binder on the performance of wet sand, and explores the protein binding mold sand reusability and reclamation. With thermal analysis and scanning electron microscopy testing, and by comparing with other traditional technologies, the experimental result shows that it is a more environmental friendly.

Abstract: The MWNTs/PE nanocomposites are prepared by in situ polymerization with mulltiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) supported Cp2ZrCl2 catalyst and MAO as cocatalyst. The SEM and AFM results show that MWNTs are exfoliated and homogenously dispersed in PE matrix by the in situ polymerization. The up-shifting of the G band in Raman spectra show the strong compressive forces associated with PE chains on the MWNTs. The storage modulus of the MWNTs/PE nanocomposite can be increased by 160% even at low amount of MWNTs (0.2 wt %) due to MWNTs well-dispersed and exfoliated in the matrix. The TGA and DMA tests point to significant improvements on thermal and mechanical properties of the PE/MWNTs nanocomposites compared to pure PE.
