Abstract: In mobile cellular networks, the mobile devices need to handoff to different base stations based on certain criteria. And also fuzzy Petri nets can support an effective rule to deduce the inexact information. Based on the reasons, this paper focuses on the use of fuzzy Petri nets to model the handoff region for obtaining optimal channel assignment schemes. In this paper, a fuzzy logic based scheme for selection of base station is presented. The scheme considers two cover regions, namely, dual-BSs fuzzy assignment handoff and triple-BSs fuzzy assignment handoff of each base station to arrive at a fuzzy handoff decision regarding handoff to any particular base station. For comparison, the conventional power level based handoff scheme is also considered.

Abstract: This paper focuses on the use of Deterministic timed Petri net (DTPNs) to model a coffee vending machine system. The advantage of the proposed approach is that the clear presentation of the behaviors of the coffee vending machine in terms of conditions and transitions that cause the state alternations. The analysis of the control models is performed by a state transition diagram. Then the dynamic properties of the control method will be obtained. To our knowledge, this is the first work that employs DTPNs to obtain the model of the vending machine control system.

Abstract: This Point cloud data of trees extracted from 3D laser scanning were used to do analysis and research on the 3D modeling of trunks. The software of Geomagic Studio was used to separate and eliminate the noises of point cloud of trees, to acquire the point cloud data of trunks. On the basis of this, the data was resampled and modeled by different encapsulation methods. The result demonstrates that the model got by the method of maximal distance is the best.

Abstract: Models for the layout of production lines have been studied in this paper. First, it constructed a model of Multi-row Mix Integer Programming for the Flexible Manufacturing Systems. Secondly, using the genetic algorithms to analyze, it established the effective solutions. Finally, it completed the evaluation of the program. Demonstrating the feasibility and effectiveness method through the case of studies, a new method was given for the layout of large-scale production line.

Abstract: This paper integrates experiment modal analysis and the analytical modal analysis to study on the vibration phenomena occurring occasionally at the different components of a precise horizontal machining centre. The paper is focused on extracting the mode shape of the major components of the machine in order to ensure resonance phenomena as a cause of vibration. At first the main natural frequencies with the corresponding modes of vibration of the machine structure are obtained by the experiment modal analysis. Then the dynamic behavior of the machine components is simulated using a finite element simulation model. The comparison of the results based on finite element calculation with their experimental counterparts shows the reasonableness. The model is evaluated and corrected with experimental results by modal testing of the machine components.

Abstract: Currently, integrating adjustable autonomy framework are increasingly involved in future warfighters in complex task environments. The adjustable autonomy system must know what the user is doing, what needs to be done in the present situation, and the comparative strengths for of the human and the system in each task. Towards reasoning the situation, we are working on situation reasoning in an integrating adjustable autonomy framework of unmanned surface platform. This article provides a summary of various related work, ranging from situation awareness to performance capacity level assessment and impact assessment. In the end, we use visualization to display the process of the situation reasoning.

Abstract: Smoked bamboo, which was made by bamboo in high temperature smoke, is a new indoors materials. In order to evaluate its potential health risk to human settlements, the volatile organic compounds of smoked bamboo biomaterial were adsorbed and determined by TD-GC-MS. And the main constituents of volatiles at 60°С were cyclononasiloxane, octadecamethyl-(35.14%), acetic acid(23.27%), cyclotrisiloxane, hexamethyl- (9.53%), bicyclo[4.4.0]dec-1-ene,2-isoprop yl-5-methyl-9-methylene-(7.56%), silane, 1,4-phenylenebis[trimethyl(4.32%), 1,3-benzodioxole, 5-(2-propenyl)- (3.47%), cedrol(2.75%), etc. (2) The main constituents of volatiles at 130°С were acetic acid(43.78%), 2,5-furandione, dihydro-3- methylene-(16.57%), 1,3-benzodioxole, 5-(1-propenyl)-,(z)-(6.75%), octasiloxane, 1,1,3,3,5,5,7,7,9,9, 11,11,13, 13,15,15- hexadecamethyl -(4.09%), bicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-one, 1,7,7- trimethyl-, (1s)- (3.21%), etc. Generally, the smoked bamboo biomaterial was safe under 60-130°С.

Abstract: In order to select the optimal production technology for laminated veneer lumber of wood bridge, the properties and mechanics of experimental samples made by China southern plantation were analyzed. The experiment results showed that: the best production technology mode was 1.6min/mm hot process time, 4 MPa hot process pressure and 25 mm board thickness. And the eucalyptus veneers were fit to make laminated veneer lumber for wood bridge.
