Abstract: Toys that are free from drop failures normally take a long time to develop. It is often time and cost consuming after the production tooling is built to detect drop test failure. This paper introduces a new drop testing analysis method for Toys. The method uses a simple approach with a local analysis that based on the linear and non linear finite element analysis. Modeling and transient drop analysis of a pre-school toy is used as a case study to demonstrate the method. The impact analysis of the product hitting the solid concrete floor after a free fall is presented. The analysis focuses on the deformation of the housing for a product with electronic circuit and mechanical mechanism inside. Experimental data has been obtained for drop simulation of the housing and its correlation with the plastic material properties. The stress and strain of the housing during drop impact tests are noted. The effects of the material properties to the housing deflection under drop/impact shock have been investigated. Numerical results are compared with experimental results to validate the method.

Abstract: To satisfy the increasing requirements in the collaborative development and price quotation for injection mould from the customers and companies, this paper presents a web-based cost estimation system of injection mould which can aid mould designers to evaluate the different design alternatives, implement the collaborative development of injection mould, and provide a reference for mould quotation. The overall architecture of the system based on a logical structure of four layers is established. Approach to cost estimation for injection mould is described in detail. Furthermore, a java-enabled solution together with the JESS 4.4 expert system shell and Microsoft Access 2000 is employed to develop such a networked cost estimation system. Finally, an actual example is given to demonstrate the use of the online cost estimation system of injection mould. The practical results from engineering application indicate the system can provide an effective and feasible tool to aid the evaluation of design alternatives and price quotation at the early development stages of injection mould.

Abstract: The cost budget of distributed enterprises depends on large quantities of operating data and aggregates data. Policymakers of these enterprise groups work out their cost budget according to their subjective judgement and experience. The reasons for their doing so are that scattered data memory is short of unified format and standardization and that current data fail to reflect their dynamic changes,etc. Here for the benefit of policymakers of the concerned enterprises and by making use of the cost of the enterprise logistics, analysis of the cost management and that of development of decision support prototype system are being conducted.The technical management of distributed date warehouse, heterogeneous data source in the integrated subsidiary and heterogeneous model based on my ETL design ,that is based on a kind of new data algorithm which is developed by utilizing mode matching and data-filtering technology. It can accelerate the speed of data renewal, filter the heterogeneous data , seek out different sets of data ,and offer the data basis for further decision from policymakers. It has been proved to be efficient by its successful application in the corporation working on distributed enterprises.

Abstract: Under market surroundings, the demands of market to products are dynamic. The primary static production pattern is difficult to suit it well because of larger lag time. To change the situation and optimize resources allocation, based on singular and lattice order rough set of their dynamic characteristics and knowledge discovery abilities, in this paper we present a novel modeling method for products dispatch procedure under dynamic environment. Some unexpected events such as urgent processing and market demands alteration are also fully considered, reselection and rescheduling of the products inside real-time window are also studied. Rough model of real-time dispatch for the products is established based on single rough set. Then the products within the scope of real-time window are ranked in light of their manufacture priorities based on lattice rough set. In the end, a simulation trial indicates the proposed method can better adapt to dynamic indeterminate environment and reduce the scale of solution, and is an effective real-time dispatch strategy.

Abstract: Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a new material identification technology. RFID has a greater number of benefits than its predecessor, the bar code. It is not universally adopted in many industries due to its high cost hitherto. Whereas, RFID is advantageous because it does not require line-of-sight scanning, it acts to reduce labor levels, enhances visibility, and improves inventory management. This article briefly introduced component, principle and characteristic of the RFID technology, and analyzed and introduced more foregroundful application of RFID in modern logistics. RFID technology is combined with network technical and database technology, it will be extensively applied in stock tache, storage tache, transportation tache, retail tache of logistics system. In addition, this paper also discussed the factors which restrain RFID technology from being broadly applied. The uppermost problem faced by RFID technology is the cost of RFID chip, then it comes to the potential intervention of people’s privacy incurred by the use of RFID technology. Otherwise, lack of uniform criteria definitely affects the development of RFID technology.

Abstract: The suspended bio-carrier is an important environment material for the biological contact oxidation of sewage treatment technology. And it is produced by mould manufacture and plastic production. In order to reduce the resource consumption and environment pollution, the green manufacturing technology is introduced; it is certified that the technology is beneficial to produce the bio-carriers. In the two stages of producing, the synthesis use of resource and the environment protection are acted as the objectives; then the multiple objective optimization models are put forward based on material selection, mould machine, and plastic injection process. The variables and constrains in those models are analyzed in detail. For models of multiple objectives, the genetic algorithm is used, and is improved by adaptively adjusting the crossover probability Pc and mutation probability Pm, and assisting gradient descending method.

Abstract: In supply chain management, supplier’s judgment and choice of the core enterprise has become key technology problem. Based on extension matter-element theory, the multilevel index judgment model of the supplier’s judgment and choice is established by extension analytic hierarchical process and the example shows that the method is feasible and valid. Firstly, the multi-layer judgment index structure of the supplier’s judgment and choice system is founded and the inconsistent dimension of all indexes is transformed to consistent one or dimensionless by the extension matter-element and their transform theory so as to set identical scale graduation. Then, the distinguish matrix of the multilevel extension section number is set and the weight vector of satisfying consistency condition of the index levels relative to the global goal level of is computed. Finally, the conclusion of the judgment and choice by judgment function is educed. The method not only expands two extremeness things of the traditional analytic hierarchical process so as to accord with factual condition entirely, but also the value range of the relation function enlarge to whole real number field so as to judge refinement and quantification.

Abstract: A model for comparing the inventory costs of purchasing under the economic order quantity (EOQ) system and the just-in-time (JIT) order purchasing system in existing literature concluded that JIT purchasing was virtually always the preferable inventory ordering system especially at high level of annual demand. By expanding the classical EOQ model, this paper shows that it is possible for the EOQ system to be more cost effective than the JIT system once the inventory demand approaches the EOQ-JIT cost indifference point. The case study conducted in the ready-mixed concrete industry in Singapore supported this proposition.

Abstract: In this paper, the association rule algorithm and its defects were analyzed. An improved algorithm was put forward for applying it to analysis the association of products fittings in SCM. The application of improved algorithm can mine which kinds of fittings or sets of items being matched to get a salable product or gain the higher profit. So it can not only instruct customer’s consumption but also can help the entrepreneur make a detailed and efficient internal plan.

Abstract: Nowadays, the research on the greenization of clamping technology obviously lags the research of green cutting, green machine tool etc. This paper provides a new clamping system to clamp the workpiece by the green fast heating/cooling adverse-change semiconductor technology and temperature controllability to thermal sensitive medium with volume effect. This clamping system has a low speed operating part, few moving parts, low medium leakage and noise pollution and it is convenient to be flexible configuration of multi-place, multi-workpiece and multi-direction clamping. Furthermore, the clamping system can use the sensors of temperature, pressure and displacement to collect the relative data and process them by computer, then intelligently control the clamp force and clamping displacement.
