Abstract: Scalability is one of the most important indicators to for performance of cloud storage system. In this paper, firstly, we pointed out limitations of three classical scalability evaluation methods with conditions of iso-speed, iso-efficiency and iso-ratio of parallel overhead to computation, when describing scalability. Then, we proposed a new scalability evaluation model which was suitable for cloud storage environment and named as EP scalability model. The EP scalability model directly reflected the performance of cloud storage system when the system scale and storage tasks expand.

Abstract: In this paper, an image de-noising method using directions of wavelet decomposition sub-bands is proposed. Wavelet coefficients are correlated in a small area, and the wavelet transform uses wavelet coefficients in three directions to describe image information, so in each sub-band the proposed method only calculates neighboring wavelet coefficients in a certain direction rather than in eight directions. Compared with other wavelet de-noising methods, the proposed method can achieve higher peak signal to noise ratio.

Abstract: Cloud computing has become a main medium for Software as a Service (SaaS) hosting as it can provide the scalability a SaaS requires. In the composite SaaS placement process, it should consider the factors about the size of the cloud network, SaaS interactions between its components and SaaS interactions with its data components. A previous research has tackled this problem using a genetic algorithm (GA) approach. This paper proposes an ant colony optimization (ACO) approach. The ACO for the SaaS placement problem has been implemented and evaluated.

Abstract: Image compression method and long distance transmission technology are technical difficulties in researching digital down-hole television. A down-hole image compression and transmission system is designed. Data are transmitted with quad logging cables and the data transfer rate is 100Kbps; hardware image compression method based on the wavelets transform is adopted and image data are treated with the wavelets transform, quantization and coding. By controlling color selection, quantizes coefficients, quality box parameters, background contrast and field rate to achieve dynamic control of compression rate and obtain high compression ratio simultaneously. Two compression ratio control methods are presented according to data transfer rate and typical borehole image and steady image can be observed in 3000m deep mine.

Abstract: The R and D capability is the critical factor of enterprise survival and development. But the success rate of R and D is getting lower and lower with the update of product is becoming more and more rapidly. This paper establishes a model of Multi-agent system based on the modeling technologies and methods of Multi-agent. The research findings can help enterprises use and allocation of resources and reduce the investment of the actual R and D, then improve the success rate of R&D process.

Abstract: In this paper, a new level set method for topology optimization of compliant mechanisms is presented. A new formulation is developed and built in the traditional level set method to force the level set function to be close to a signed distance function during the optimal process. The validity of the method is illustrated by topology optimization of a widely studied compliant mechanism.

Abstract: According to discussion of process management, workflow technology and the requirement of CE to PDM system, workflow based PDM system is built in this thesis, which takes process management as the main line to implement the projects management, parts management and documents management. PDM prototype is built and workflow based process management in PDM system is validated.

Abstract: In this paper, a novel dual-polarized antenna fed by microstrip line for retrodirective array is presented. The star-shaped patch is used to reduce the mutual coupling among array elements; also bandwidth can be enhanced by choosing stacked patch. The simulated results indicate that the impedance bandwidth (VSWR<2) achieve 17%, the antenna gain is higher than 8dB, the port-to-port isolation and polarization isolation maintain at less than-20dB. A 1-D retrodirective array is designed based on this novel element, the array displays better retrodirectivity. It is validated that the dual-polarized microstrip antenna can be widely used in retrodirective array.

Abstract: Aiming at the problems Expert PID parameter tuning for time-consuming, and the results are not necessarily the best. In this paper, genetic algorithm is introduced to the parameter optimization, finally get a set of optimal PID parameter values. In comparison with simulated experiments, the results show that the performance of the Designed to optimize the performance of optimization expert PID controller is better than conventional controller, can achieve good dynamic performance.

Abstract: The existing independent hospital information system hinders the cooperation and integration of healthcare service processes. In order to solve this problem, hospital information architecture based on cloud computing was put forward through analyzing the characteristics of medical information. The platform, system architecture and key technologies of the hospital information architecture were discussed. Software prototype was developed by using Hadoop, Tashi and MapReduce and implementation of this model proved to be feasible and effective.
