Abstract: The design of the "two-way ID authentication and hardware encryption-based secure mobile hard disk" adopts the smart card-based technology of two way ID authentication, thus enables higher authentication strength than ordinary password authentication and USB-KEY one way certification; adoption of dedicated hardware encryption chip on encrypting the hard disk data enhances the encryption speed; since this encryption is a hardware level encryption, it is completely transparent to users, and do not rely on the operating system or other applications, with almost no impact on system performance; that the key of the encryption system will be loaded before the system initialization (system boot) prevents malicious code attacks from hard drive, and even when the mobile hard disk was stolen, the thief cannot read out any encrypted data from it on any other computer as long as the thief has no access to the encryption key. Therefore, this "encrypted mobile hard disk" is more secure with better reading and writing performance, and thus can effectively protect sensitive data on the mobile hard disk.

Abstract: This paper comparatively analyses the snip bidding intensity using the auction data of two kinds of goods from www.taobao.com by normative data collecting method, based on observation of the relationship between the bidding time and auction price in online auction. Our results indicate that it has obvious snip bidding behavior in online auction on www.taobao.com. The intensity of the snip bidding is different because of different goods categories. It primarily proves that in Chinese online auction market there exists similar snip bidding behavior in mature market of developed countries.

Abstract: Despite the fact that total knee arthroplasty has become the major treatment for degenerative arthritis, damage to the patellar components remains an unsolved problem as the weight and the postures of a patient keep bringing about stresses on specific points, lines and planes between the patellar and the femoral components and thus lead to the wear and breakage of the former or even an additional knee arthroplasty surgery in a critical situation. To fulfill the need to have an in-depth examination on the contact behavior of the patellofemoral components, the current study conducted in vitro simulation on patellofemoral components with varied designs to mimic different real-life knee flexion angles and to explore the contact behavior in the patellofemoral components. The results of the study showed a higher stability in onlay patellar component when compared to inset patellar component at different knee flexion angles.

Abstract: The objective of the study is to improve the impact resistant performance of a special vehicle’s front sliding plate. For this, a performance evaluation indicator called critical failure velocity is proposed in this paper. By regarding the impact velocity as the variable, this paper carried out a numerical simulation of the changeable stress and deformation due to the impact on the different front sliding plates which are made by aluminium alloy, high strength steel and special engineering plastics by ABAQUS/Expticit. In this way, the relationship between various impact velocities and maximum Mises stress on the front sliding plate can be got, and the critical failure velocities can be found through the relationship. Then, as a comparative analysis of various materials’ critical failure velocities has been made in this paper, the front sliding plate’s impact resistant design

Abstract: In this paper, we present a novel method for designing a controller with good rubustness for variable-speed wind energy conversion systems based on a characteristic model. Due to the stochastic operating conditions and the inevitable nonlinear characteristics inherent in the system, the dynamic model is usually too complex for the system analysis and controller design. Therefore, we first develop a detailed plant characteristic model of a variable-speed wind energy conversion system, which simplifies significantly the engineering implementation. Then the sliding mode incorporating fuzzy tuning schemes is applied to design a controller that optimizes the converter system efficiency and robustness. Analysis and experimentation show that the method achieves satisfactory wind energy tracking.

Abstract: For the important characteristic of the system stability, a state-space averaging model of the series-in series hybrid active power filter (SHAPF) is constructed to analyze its system stability by traditional control strategy taking into account the effect of the time delay in the digital control system, inverter, low pass filter and second-order carrier-wave filter. Based on the analysis of the close-loop control model, the traditional control strategy of the series-in SHAPF is an unstable system. A new control strategy is proposed to reduce the impact of the high frequency current interference and improve its stability and filter performance of the series-in SHAPF. Validity and practicality of the proposed control strategy are proved by simulation analytical and experiment results from a 10-kW laboratory system.

Abstract: In order to reduce work complexity and increase the effectiveness of communication, the traditional patch-like cross-media publication way has being changed drastically. Although many foreign countries, America and German etc, have reconstituted the process for cross-media digital publication, this research is in early days in China. There are few cross-media digital publication systems in the home market. This paper proposed one kind of cross-media digital publication process and the system framework (see Fig. 1), furthermore elaborated each function module (see Fig. 2) of the cross-media digital publication system based on the XML, induced the scheme’s innovation places in the end, that are structure innovation, function innovation and idea innovation.

Abstract: A novel and efficient wood recognition method based on texture analysis is presented in this paper. Firstly, the sample images are divided into several regions after cutting from wood stereogram images. Then, more features are extracted by Gabor Wavelets through five scales and eight orientations. For getting the key points of these Gabor features, clustering and sifting operation are used to dislodge the dimmed features that extracted from the noise regions, such as cleavage region, resin canal region and so on. Finally, the Earth Mover’s Distance is used as the distance measure to compare these features by nearest neighbor classifier. The experiment on 24 species and 480 sample images shows that the recognition rate can even up to 97.5 percents, which gives a satisfactory classification performance compared with the current state-of-the-art methods.

Abstract: Reducing carbon footprint is a trend within modern green restaurants. A carbon footprint is the total set of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by an organization, event or product. Food and beverage restaurants have to deliver food using a minimal carbon footprint. Of previous researches, only a small fraction is focused on reducing carbon footprints in a culinary room. Besides, a carbon footprint cost model was hard to solve in economic computation time. Therefore, the main purpose of this research is through a distributed information system to accelerate computing ability of a carbon footprint cost model. Through the distributed computing, our experimental results showed that the proposed approach outperformed the literature approach efficiently. The algorithm improved rate was 68.6%, and low down 82.1% carbon footprint than manual. The proposed approach could contribute to accelerate calculations in others problems due to using multiple machines in future researches.

Abstract: To solve the difficulties in managing lifecycle information on varieties of products in the customer demand diversity and personalization environment, a product lifecycle information management approach based on product family is put forward. A 3-Dimention Product Family Lifecycle Information Integration Model (PFLI2M) is proposed, which is composed of product main structure dimension, product dimension and lifecycle dimension, and the evolution process of the 3 dimensions is discussed. Based on the metadata method, unit information representation of PFLI2M is studied from the physical layer, logic layer, expression layer and the application layer. These methods are applied in lifecycle information management of sealing products.
