Abstract: This paper conducts an evaluation of a new traffic state detector. Compared with traditional traffic detector, this new detector can provided traffic state directly. A comprehensive assessment of this traffic state detector is described in this paper. Microwave traffic detector is used as reference. The results collected from both traffic state detector and microwave detector are investigated. Some interesting findings will be summarized in this paper.

Abstract: The laser ranging has far detection range and high measurement accuracy and so on merits, is widely applied to navigation system of the autonomous robot, but different environmental conditions have different influence on transmission of the laser, producing errors of the various degree to measurement. Proposed ranging influence research of the laser ranging LMS200 which is used in the robot navigation under the dissimilar condition, through analyzing primary factor that affect LMS200 ranging in the room and outside, and makes the experimental contrast, obtains experimental effect under environmental influencing factor, discovers reflectivity, incidence, mixed pixel and visibility and so on environmental factor which effect on practical application truly, builds the foundation for carrying on ranging application of the robot navigation.

Abstract: Few site measurements were carried out in inner-China area, partly due to researcher conceiving that the wind in inner-China area is not as strong as that in coastal area. Recent serious damages caused by local gales in middle reaches of Yellow River, far away from sea, were observed. In order to guarantee the safety of the structure, the wind load acting on the structure must be studied. But in the existing anti-wind specification the parameters of wind characteristics on complicated mountain, gorge and mountain pass terrain have no explicit stipulation. So it is obviously significant to study the wind characteristics on complicated terrain. It’s the first time to put the wind field observation of special topography on the upper and middle yellow river into practice. Field measurement tower was conducted at the site. Five 2-d anemometers and a 3-d ultrasonic anemometer were installed on the 65-meter-high tower from the 10 meters to 60meters high above ground, and two 30-meter-high towers erected on the bank of the river. Based on the method of data statistical analysis, a data processing system of wind speed observation V1.0 based on Borland C++ Builder is developed, which can rapidly and automatically process massive data. The specific wind space distribution and regular pattern around the western gap of valley areas are firstly gained. Wind field of terrain liking bell where the river flows from canyon to the open field have been simulated by CFD. The result of analysis testifies the correctness and efficiency of the numerical method. It would be provided with great theoretical significance and practical engineering value passes through the foregoing study.

Abstract: The problem of noninvasive computing the epicardial surface potentials from torso surface potentials constitutes one form of the inverse problem of ECG, which can be acted as a regression problem with multi-input and multi-output. In this study, the SVR method is invoked to predict the inverse solutions, which compared with the common regularization methods. To build an effective SVR model, the hyper-parameters of SVR are set carefully by using the grid search optimization method. The experiment results shows that SVR method is an effective way for solving the inverse ECG problem, which can reconstruct more accurate epicardial surface potentials distribution than the common regularization method, such as Tikhonv method and LSQR method.

Abstract: Based on Matlab as the software platform, chaos detection principle and methods used for weak signals detection are studied. The model used for simulation is established, then the simulation results of weak periodic signal detection in strong noise atmosphere are given and the steps for detecting weak signals with chaos method are listed. Furthermore, the influence of sampling period on system’s performance is studied. Simulation results show that the chao detection approach proposed in this paper can detect the signal even if it is small to 10-10v, and even when it is in the environment with strong noise, small signal with magnitude of only 5×10-9 v can be found. Chaos method has strong capability for weak signal detection which lay important foundation for exploiting virtual instrument.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to develop an innovative assessment to explore the characteristics of Taiwanese eighth graders’ online reading literacy. The online reading literacy assessment (ORLA) is designed based on PISA’s Electronic Reading Assessment Framework which contains three reading processes: retrieving information, interpreting information, and reflecting on and evaluating content of texts. There are 176 eighth graders sampled from three schools in Tainan districts. The results indicate that ORLA is a valid but relatively difficult test for most of eighth graders. The internal consistency Alpha is .65. The correlation coefficient between ORLA and the computerized reading comprehension test (CRCT) is .51. In other words, online reading literacy is reasonably independent from reading comprehension. The tasks of online searching and integrating different sources of information are functioning differently from the conventional reading tasks. The correlation coefficients between ORLA and the school grades of five subjects (English, Science, Mathematics, Social Science, and Chinese) ranged from .36 to .54. The pattern of correlation coefficients demonstrates sensible supporting evidences for the convergent and discriminant validity.

Abstract: A new so-called fuzzifying measurable theory that generalizes the classical measurable theory is established, the essence of which is a fuzzy measure on a multiple-valued algebra. First, the semantics method of continuous-valued logic is used to describe the new measure succinctly. Then, the structures of the new theory are discussed in detail and some of the key structural features of the classic measure can be successfully extended to the new theory. Lastly, the product of the two fuzzifying measures is studied and a problem, which is similar to the third of the open problems in fuzzy measure by Z. Wang, is considered.

Abstract: With the development of technology, water resources management has entered a phase of the digital management. Therefore, accelerating the digital construction of water resources management has become a new topic. This study analyzes the importance and necessity of regional water resources digital management in terms of the ideas and means in digital management. Combined with the reality of regional water resources management, the study discusses the information collection, processing and transmission network of regional water resources, the database system of water resource management, integrated business management system and the digital water management support system. It also gives the primary system framework for regional water resources digital management. The study is helpful for a reasonable use of digital means to optimize the allocation of water resources to deal with serious water shortage in the northern region.

Abstract: Program analysis plays an important role in software development and maintenance. With this method, characteristics of every variable in program can be analyzed. During the period of program analyzing, computing the program slicing by the method of constructing system dependence graph is an efficient way but the work of constructing the system dependence graph is very complicated which often leads to many wrong results. So the algorithm of hierarchy slice is used in this paper. Using the precise results, the whole program can be analyzed and the dependence relation in the program can be discovered quickly.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to develop a Computerized Ecology Observation Competence Assessment (CEOCA) to investigate the characteristics of students’ observation competence. The authors assume that the students’ observation competence can be enriched by meaningful experiences and the performance is situated in specific content or context. The facets included in CEOCA are knowledge, observation (on multi-media), concept mapping of wetland ecology. A total of 454 6th, and 7th graders were sampled in this study. The average difficulty (p value) is .62 for the sample. The correlation coefficients between CEOCA and related variables such as school math or science score are around .46 to .54. The pattern of correlation coefficients demonstrates sensible supporting evidences for the convergent and discriminant validity. The implications for further researches are also discussed.
