Abstract: In order to obtain comprehensive robustness, preference function is applied on front wheel alignment parameter design. Two kinds of uncertainty factors have been integrated into the overall preference function. Random uncertainty is adopted by classical robust design method, and epistemic uncertainty such as individual preference is adopted by range method. The model of front wheel alignment parameters is established applying preference function. The optimal objective is composed of the minimum swing angle of front wheel during wheel bumping, the minimum slider during driving straightly, and the minimum steering angle error during steering. The optimum results are shown robustness on front wheel alignment parameter based on preference function is improved.

Abstract: It is well known that if for a nonlinear system the parameter p has a small change, the multiple non-semi-simple defective eigenvalue can be separated into close eigenvalues, which is known as the near defective eigenvalue. For such a case, although the close eigenvalues are distinct, the system still has bifurcation property in natural. This paper presents the response analysis method at the near critical point of Hopf bifurcation in nonlinear systems. A numerical example is given to illustrate the application of the proposed method.

Abstract: Cutting performance of aiguilles mainly depends on the arrangement of cutting picks.This thesis took cutting specific consumption as the optimizing goal, spatial parameters of cutting picks as the designing variables,and then established the optimization mathematic model of the arrangement of cutting picks. Mathematic model was solved by Matlab programming, then got the optimized arrangement parameters of cutting picks. According to the optimized parameters, manufactured the aiguilles and carried out the drilling test.The result indicated that production efficiency and advance speed of optimal designed aiguilles were all improved, abrasion of cutting picks were roughly the same and there was no clear cut mark on the drlling holes.

Abstract: This paper has proposed a new structure of lateral diagonal tensile piezoelectric driving feeder which based on the study of foreign advanced technology of piezoelectric feeding devices. It has analysed the driving source and material movement properties of the new structure, and carried out the experimental research and analysis that based on the theoretical analysis. According to these, we get the relationships between driving voltage and feeding speed, frequency and feeding speed and the relationships among voltage, frequency and driving current. Measuring the driving power and compared with the electromagnetic vibration feeder, we obtained that the piezoelectric driving feeder’s energy-saving effect is remarkable. The whole machine has the superior performance.

Abstract: Two communication cabinet finite element analysis(FEA) models with different cross-sectional structure vertical columns were set up. Based on the two communication cabinet FEA models, modal analysis was carried out by using the subspace method; the first 6 order natural frequencies and vibration modes were obtained. Harmonic response analysis was also carried out; the displacement response of the communication cabinet structure under external loading was determined. The dynamic performance comparison of the two communication cabinets with different cross-sectional structure vertical columns was performed, as a result, an effective method is provided for communication cabinet dynamic characteristic optimized design.

Abstract: Due to the fatigue failure and the fracture injury occurs under the alternative mechanical loads, the optimal design of the piston pin is presented depending on the FEA static analysis. The optimization is carried out using the Genetic Algorithm (GA), and the piston noncircular pin hole is used to further reduce the stress concentration on the upper end of the piston pin seat.

Abstract: Space probes now asks for a correction in aeronautic mechanics. Analysis of the radio tracking data from the Pioneer 10/11 spacecraft at distances between about 20–70 AU from the Sun has consistently indicated the presence of a constant acceleration of 8.6× 10−8 cm/s−2 directed towards the Sun. Currently, an independent research rises from the planetary long-term orbital evolution study and may be helpful to understand the nature of Pioneer Anomaly. Furthermore, calculation shows that the Pioneer data match with the new discovery’s prediction very well. Such nova theory will improve spacecraft and space shuttle design, and could enhance the accuracy, ensuring them into the designed orbit prompt.

Abstract: In this paper, the finite element model for the cabinet of a drum washing machine and the model for testing vibration of the cabinet were developed in ANSYS software and PULSE™, respectively. A series of tests were conducted. The natural frequencies and mode shapes were obtained by finite element analysis and modal experiment, which revealed weak parts of the cabinet. Meanwhile, the computational modes were in good agreement with experimental ones and this could provide an available method by which it was convenient to improve the design of the cabinet.

Abstract: The structure parameter of sliding bearing has significant influence on entire shafting. The structural optimization of elliptical sliding bearing based on the genetic algorithm theory is studied in the paper. Shafting logarithmic decrement is taken as the objective function, the bearing width-diameter ratio, relative clearance and main design parameters such as ellipticity is taken as design variables. Mutual coupling effect between sliding bearing and rotor is considered in the optimization model. An elliptical sliding bearing of shafting has been optimized, and the solution result shows that the shafting stability has been increased, it indicates this method is feasible.

Abstract: Aimed at the manufacture process of TIG( tungs-ten inert-gas) welding of copper-clad aluminum wire in enterprise, the methods of detecting and automatic tracking welding seam edge , detecting and automatic control smelting-pool width were studied and designed with fuzzy control in the paper. The experiment shows that the scheme has the advantages such as better control effect, high control precision and favorable stability.
