Abstract: Based on analyzing current methods of acquiring point clouds data in reversing engineering, considering the features of structure light scanning and binocular stereovision, we proposed a composite measuring method based on vision technology, which combines the advantages of the two measurement methods in together, and established the measuring system. The greatest advantage of this method is that the edge data were obtained by binocular vision technology, and the internal data were obtained by Structure light method. In binocular vision, stereo matching was realized with the combination of epipolar constraint, corner feature matching and area matching, which could improve location precision and matching speed of feature point. An application example shows the composite measuring method is feasible.

Abstract: Based on the time-to-failure density function of parts, the maintenance cost model of mining mechanical equipment is established and simulated. The influence factors of time-to-failure density function on the maintenance costs are analysed and the dynamic changing regularity is investigated, which is significant to establish reasonable maintenance strategies, improve the efficiency of equipment operation, reduce the costs and optimize the design of mechanical equipment parts.

Abstract: Nanomaterials include nanometal, nanooxide, carbon nanotube, carbon nanotube composite and other types of nanomaterials. They provide a significant way for the manufacture of sensors due to their small size, larger specific surface area, surface atomic slots insufficiency and more active sites. The rapid development of electrochemical sensor fabricated with nanomaterials is of significant value. In this article, we address some of the main advances in this field over the past few years, discussing the research progress of electrochemical sensor fabricated with nanomaterials and their application.

Abstract: The fluiding characteristics of pulverized coal in fluidization & injection jar were studied systematically with the conveying property testing equipment of pulverized coal designed by ourselves. Results show that the fluidization process of pulverized coal in fluidization & injection jar is a progressive process. The necessary condition of fluidization for pulverized coal in fluidization & injection jar is that the actual fluiding velocity exceeds the theoretical fluiding velocity. According to the moving state of pulverized coal particles in fluidized and injection jar, the fluidization process of pulverized coal consists of three stages of static bed, fluidization bed and gas flow bed.

Abstract: According to this theory, the cavitation mechanism of ultrasonic-pulse electrochemical compound machining (UPECM) based on particle impact is proposed in the paper. The mechanism was studied particularly, and validated by experiments. The results show that ultrasonic cavitation promote pulse electrochemical compound machining, and particle impact has the catalysis of the anodic dissolution in the ultrasonic-pulse electrochemical compound machining. The results also indicate that the processing velocity can be improved under the particle impact, obtaining the surface quality in UPECM compound machining.

Abstract: Learning style has been proven to be an important factor that affects student learning performance. By knowing student learning styles, instructors can modify teaching material and teaching methods accordingly for the greater benefit of students. By understanding the strengths and weaknesses of learning styles, students may adopt complementary learning strategies, thus improving their performance. The Index of Learning Styles (ILS) developed by Felder and Soloman has been widely used in the context of engineering education to enhance both teaching and learning. However, the general statistics and reliability of its Chinese version have not been reported. In this study, we conducted a survey, and 223 students majoring in mechanical engineering at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan, participated. This study involved a comparison of the learning style profiles of the students against the results of prior related research conducted in the United States. Subsequently, the internal consistency coefficients of Cronbach’s alpha were examined. The results show that the participants were active, perceptive, visual, and sequential learners, similar to their counterparts in the United States. The internal consistency coefficients on the four dimensions in ILS are 0.49, 0.59, 0.64, and 0.36, respectively. The statistics are lower or approximately equal to those of the English version ILS.

Abstract: This Study Examined the Performance of Abrasive Jet Polishing (ajp) on Skd61 Mold Surfaces Using Wax-coated Sic Abrasives Fabricated by Gas Atomization. Comparison of Surface Quality Achieved Reveals Significant Surface Roughness Reduction by Wax-coated Abrasives. the Wax Coating Not only Covers Most of the Sharp Ends of the Abrasive, Thus Making Smooth the Abrasive Surface; it Being Elastic Also Provides a Cushioning Buffer. these Two Features Contribute to Ameliorate the Direct Impact of Heavy Peening, Thus Preventing Surface Hardening, Superficial Embedment or Deep Scratches. Moreover, Compound Additives Including Water Wax and Water Were Added to the Wax-coated #3000 Sic Abrasives at a Mix Proportion of 500: 1000: 1500 (water Wax: Wax-coated Sic: Water) for Polishing Mold Surfaces of Different Forms. Results Show that the Compound Additives Provide Addition Cushioning Effect and Facilitate the Sliding and Grinding of Abrasives, Resulting in Fine Polishing and Good Surface Quality. the Reflection Property of Micro-groove Was much Enhanced by Ajp Using Wax-coated #3000 Sic Abrasives with the Compound Additives.

Abstract: The active phased array antenna is a direction of modern radar development. But it is expensive. So the key in meteorological radar design is to get high ratio of capability and cost. We used 400 cross-polarization half wave diploes as radiation unit to get a high efficiency and reliability antenna, it also has low side lobe by Taylor weighting. 20 transmit/receive(T/R) modules produced too little heat to disperse, so it can be cooled by nature wind. 40 power dividers which one is divided into twenty parts and 1 power combiner decreased transmission loss. This antenna is fit for the need of wind profiling radar.
