Abstract: For the hydration heat generated by the massive concrete during the construction of the pier’s base, the methods and operation processes of temperature control are presented in this article, using the finite element program MIDAS analyze the massive concrete temperature field of the hydration heat during the construction of the base. Besides, temperature control program for the construction of massive concrete, simulation of the calculation result and controlling calculation following the process of the construction compared with the data of temperature monitoring are introduced. The result of analysis and calculation could be a reference for the similar construction.

Abstract: Continuous optical fiber sensing technique has the advantages of continuous measurement, corrosion preventing, anti-electromagnetic interference and high precision. This paper integrates continuous optical fiber into smart structure system. It combines the advantages of continuous optical fibers with self-adapting function of smart structures. It may have wide uses in engineering. But it is developing. It has some key technologies to be solved, such as the manufacture and embedment technique of special optical fibers, optimized arrangements of fibers, smart identification of the signal, analysis processing for enormous data and realization of self-adapting function.

Abstract: Rectangular sharp-crested weir used for flow measurement in flume is limited by the minimum head since head- discharge relation of clinging flow is different from free flow. Hydraulic characteristics of clinging flow under low head are studied via experiments associated with simulation in six rectangular sharp-crested weirs with different geometric parameters. The results show that head-discharge relation is stable under clinging flow; head relation between clinging and free flow is linearly correlated at the same discharge in a bistable regime, existing discharge formula of free flow can be applied to clinging flow by means of head transform; the pressure on downstream weir plate is negative, much less than atmosphere pressure, and flow regime can be judged based on the pressure. It is feasible to automatically measure large and small flow using the simplest weir without head limitation.

Abstract: To resolve the divergence problems in three-dimensional finite element simulation caused by the mesh distortion,put forward a three-dimensional remeshing technique in ABAQUS by making use of the good interface between ABAQUS and HYPERMESH.Simulated a rubber block compression process using this technique.The results show that:1). the grid distortion at sharp corners has been improved significantly and this remeshing technique can attain reliable results,especially in three-dimensional models with the large deformation;2). the initial analysis load capacity should be reasonably determined in order to obtain the better remeshing results.This technique can resolve the problems brought by the mesh distortion very well.

Abstract: Based on the nonlinear regression theory of Support Vector Machine, SVM model was put forward to predict blasting vibration velocity by using monitoring data obtained in blasting site as training samples. By comparing the results of the two prediction models of the improved Sadaovsk and SVM, the feasibility of the new learning method of SVM model was verified, which will provide a new way to predict and control intensity of blasting vibration. The best way to select the parameters of SVM needs to be further explored.

Abstract: In this paper, , the combination of antenna array detection method of ground penetrating radar is put forward to solve the actual engineering problem that is difficult to monitor the integrity of the flexural pile composite foundation. The experiments of defects of six tamping soil cement piles find that the relative error of the pile position of defects is 5.25%. The result indicates that it is enough reliability to determine the pile defects by using the GPR method and can meet the engineering needs. Furthermore, the effect of age of cement, the ration between soil and cement, depth and types of defects on the monitoring quality is obtained.
