Abstract: The internet provides a unique opportunity to remote control robots. Easy to use web interfaces enable people to control robots and to monitor their operation from the distance. This paper describes a remote control technology which combines computer network and an autonomous robot is constructed. The main feature of this technology is that users just need a general purpose computer and a world wide web browser, they can command the mobile robot in a remote location through internet.

Abstract: The poling conditions were studied in AOP process by second harmonic generation (SHG) for host-guest adulterant thin-films. The guest was 4’-Nitro-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene and host was PMMA. The experimental results showed that the optimal poling temperature was about room temperature, the optimal ratio of light intensity of fundamental signal (ω) and its second harmonic signal (2ω) during AOP was approximately 100, the thin films had the same rule that the saturated value of SHG depended on the ratio. In addition, we obtained a suitable thickness around 2200nm that the stronger SHG after poling was generated.

Abstract: The poly(vinylchloride) (PVC) nanocomposite was prepared by melt mixed of PVC with polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes containing vinyl group (V-POSS). The rheological behavior of V-POSS/PVC nanocomposites was investigated by torque rheometer and capillary rheometer. The influences of composition of blends, shear rate, shear stress on melt apparent viscosity and non-Newtonian index (n) were discussed. The dynamic mechanical properties, mechanical properties and morphology were determined. The result shows that the plastic time of nanocomposites decreases while melt viscosity increases with increasing V-POSS content. V-POSS has a good compatibility with PVC. The nanocomposites have better impact strength with increasing V-POSS content. V-POSS can use as process aid and impact aid at appropriate contents.

Abstract: UV-curable bi-component coating of epoxy-acrylate/polyurethane-acrylate modified with polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane containing vinyl group (V-POSS), and UV-cured process and kinetics were investigated by FTIR, DSC, and DMA. The results show that this coating has a good UV-curable property, and the two components have very good compatibility and can co-cure in free radical polymerization. The curing reaction can be described by a two-parameter autocatalytic Šesták-Berggren (S-B) model. The modified UV-curable coating has good adhesive strength for steel and hardness. The mechanical loss peak temperature Tp is highest when the content of V-POSS is 60%, which is increased by 5.2 oC than the pure system.

Abstract: The boron-containing o-cresol-formaldehyde resin (BoCFR) with different amounts of boron was synthesized from o-cresol, boric acid and formaldehyde solution. The curing process of resin was by characterized by FTIR. The thermal properties and dynamic mechanical properties of resin were investigated. The results show that the borate has formed. The BoCFR has a better thermal stablitity. The residual rate of BoCFR is 30-40 % at 900 oC, which is higher about 400 oC than ordinary o-cresol-formaldehyde resin (o-CFR). The maximal mechanical loss temperature (Tp) is higher 30-38 oC than o-CFR. The weight loss of BoCFR can be main divided two stages. The main thermal degradation reaction follows first order kinetics.

Abstract: The mechanical response of airport pavement under multiple-gear of the new large aircraft loadings behaves differently from traditional mechanical response problems. In this paper, a 3-D finite element model of nine 5m×5m full size slabs rigid airport pavement with load transfer of joints and multilayer base system is established, using the finite element method. With the example of airplane A380, we analyzed the Von Mises stress distribution when the large aircraft loadings act on different locations of the pavement slabs. The result shows that the critical of Von Mises stress does not occur at the slab edge but closer to the center of the loading area in the edge load cases; in addition, through setting different parameters of joint load transfer stiffness, the relationship between the joints stiffness and the load transfer efficiency of adjacent slabs is found. It is demonstrated that for higher joint stiffness there is higher transfer efficiency.

Abstract: Theoretical analysis and experiment all show that heat stress has effect on the accuracy of Fe-12%Al soft-magnetism alloy’s dimension after heat treatment and also heat treatment process has effect on magnetic property and also the stress caused by machining has effect on magnetic property. A kind of new method is proposed to improve the magnetic property and accuracy of dimension of soft-magnetism alloy after heat treatment, in which the first step is to perform half-finish machining on soft-magnetism alloy material and leave a one-side margin 0.05mm, and the second step is to perform heat treatment and then finish machining during which some degree of tolerance margin is required to be set if the requirement of magnetic property is satisfied and last step is to the renewing magnetism treatment. This method can guarantee the high accuracy of soft magnetism alloy’s dimension as well as can renew the lost of magnetic property by 75%-91% which will improve the passing rate by almost double.

Abstract: Graphical Interfaces using an agent-based dialog can handle errors and interruptions, and dynamically adapts to the current context and situation, the needs of the task performed, and the user model. This is especially true for the design of multimodal interfaces, where interaction designers need to physically explore and prototype new interaction modalities and therefore require development environments that especially support the interactivity and the dynamic of this creative development process. We argue that, in the domain of sophisticated human-machine interfaces, we can make use of the increasing tendency to design such interfaces as independent agents that themselves engage in an interactive dialogue (both graphical and linguistic) with their users. This paper focuses on the implementation of a flexible and robust dialogue system which integrates emotions and other influencing parameters in the dialogue flow. In order to achieve a higher degree of adaptability and multimodality, we present Spoken Language Dialogue System (SLDS) architecture. The manufacturing process of the oil plant (GLZ: Gas Liquefying Zone), is selected as an application domain in this study

Abstract: Since lattice matrices are useful tools in various domains like cluster analysis, computer network, traffic control, logistics and so on, the study of the properties of lattice matrices is valuable. A lattice matrix is called monotone if is transitive or is monotone increasing. In this paper, the transitivity of powers and the properties of a transitive lattice matrix are studied. Also, the proper- tyes of a monotone increasing lattice matrix are considered.

Abstract: The initial micro-crack density of a chromium coating/steel substrate with and without laser pre-quenching treatment was investigated in this work. It was found the micro-crack density of Cr coating on the pre-quenched substrate surface was much lower than that of the Cr coating on the original substrate surface. Based on the results presented in this work and in the literature, the find presented in this work indicates the lower crack density of the chromium coating on the pre-quenched substrate may improve the mechanical properties of this material system, and it may be an important mechanism responsible for the prolonged lives of workpieces in practice.
