Abstract: Cable anchorages are among the most important elements in a cable-stayed bridge, which are complex in structure and bear heavy load. There are three main forms in anchorage zone between girder and cable in modern long-span cable-stayed bridge with steel box girder, which are ear-plate form, anchor-box form and anchor-plate form. Combining theoretical analysis with the static test, static behavior and stress transfer pathway of three typical cable-to-girder anchorages were analyzed, and the differences of stress distribution and stress concentration among anchorage zones were pointed out. Based on the Von.Mises strength criterion, bearing safety of three typical cable-to-girder anchorages was evaluated. Finally, the measures to reform stress distribution and reduce stress concentration are discussed. Some useful conclusions were obtained, which would benefit the design of cable-to-girder anchorages.

Abstract: Based on the mechanics characteristics of partially earth-anchored cable-stayed bridge, the criterion of reasonable finished dead state was presented. The effect factors considered include: the distribution of cable force, the inner force of girder and tower, the dimension of earth-anchor, and the displacement of tower top. Combined with methods to determine cable force of traditional self-anchored cable-stayed bridges in reasonable completed status, a two-stage method was used to find the cable force of these bridges which was divided into finding the initial cable force with rigid supported continuous beam method and then fix on the final optimized cable force in the reasonable completed status through adjusting the initial cable force in first stage with influence matrix method. And the adjustment process of cable force in secondary stage was proposed based on the mechanics characteristics of these bridges. Finally, a calculation was carried out for a partially earth-anchored cable-stayed bridge with 1218m main span and composite beam. The result shows that this method was logical, practical convenient and efficient. And the cable force in the reasonable completed status of bridges can be obtained faster according to the adjustment process of cable force in secondary stage.

Abstract: With the development of bridge structures, it is very necessary to ascertain load-bearing characteristic of complex structures. Model test can directly response complex mechanical characteristics. Based on the model test of 1:5 T-beam, this paper introduces the factors of designing model beam, and gives some similarity relation between model beam and prototype beam, including the deflection and stress similarity relation. So this paper laid a theoretical foundation for the later model test.

Abstract: Public participation is an effective way in promoting the administration of urban planning. Currently, some existing problems of public participation in urban planning can be seen including weak awareness of participation, passive and monotonous ways of participation, limited participating content, and so on. This article aims at boosting the process of public participation in urban planning by putting forward a three-step strategy in the method of raising, analyzing and solving problems.

Abstract: Experimental study on the behavior of Single Adobe, Rammed Earth Wall, Single modified adobe block, modified adobe wall and Reinforcement of Bamboo Rammed-earth Wall is put forward in this paper. The experiments include compression, shear and bending test of single adobe, and uniaxial lateral loading test of rammed earth and modified adobe wall and reinforcement of bamboo rammed-earth wall. The mechanical properties of the specimens are obtained through test. The test and research will offer a technological support for the Chinese Government started the Rural House Earthquake Safety Project(RHESP)and formulation of the code for seismic design of rural buildings.

Abstract: Building energy consumption (BEC) accounts for a large proportion in the whole energy consumption, and heating energy consumption (HEC) in the proportion of BEC is the largest in heating areas in northern China. How to take effective measures to reduce heating energy consumption has become an urgent problem needs to be solved in the building energy conservation work. Existing buildings and heating system in heating areas in northern China was studied, which helped to give the heating model on the heating energy consumption. Based on the heating model, related factors influencing the heating energy consumption were studied. And effective measures used to reduce HEC were proposed, which provided a reference and basis for the optimal design and operation of building envelope and heating system in heating areas in northern China.

Abstract: The study and design of energy conservation has gradually become a hot and key issue in architecture. One of the core contents of such concepts as green architecture, ecological architecture, sustainable architecture, organic architecture is how to reduce high energy consumption of buildings. The study of building energy conservation has been carried out in subjects of architectural thermal engineering and energy conservation for almost 30 years. The central and local governments have set up special management agencies and departments of building energy conservation; building research institutes at all levels and numerous universities have set up research institutions for study of building energy conservation and issued a series of policies and regulations and technical standards, which received an enthusiastic response from industrial circles and have produced tens of billions of production. However, more than 95% of the existing buildings and more than 80% of new buildings of China belong to those with high energy consumption. The paper tries to interpret the deep reason of the phenomenon from the aspects of society, technology, etc. for discussion of researchers in the field of architectural thermal engineering and energy conservation.

Abstract: G-level open space is an effective way to create more open space for public congregation and community life in densely populated cities like Chong Qing, and compact neighborhoods like NFHY. One prototype for modern G-level open space of NFHY was the traditional housing in southeast China; the other was the worldwide modern architectural movement, especially Le Corbusie’s work. Compared to other kinds of open space, G-level open space is distinctive in its dualism; it has the qualities of both interior space and public space. Findings in NFHY show that, with it peculiar space quality, G-level open space integrated private life and public life, making the space more attractive to the residents, especially seniors and children. In order to encourage the developers to incorporate more of this kind of open space in their projects, the government needs to make some compromise on building regulations.

Abstract: There are a lot of architectural heritage be reused in practical life in Europe. The history and the reality can be harmonized and accreted together in these architectural heritages. The original appearance, the building structure and the stone materials are retained of the architectural heritage when they undertake the new social function. When the architectural heritage shows their new face to the people, they also demonstrate their own history and cultural characteristics. All of this is useful for a city to illustrate its development of local culture context. This topic focus on the designing practice of the Musee d'Art Contemporain de Bordeaux of France. From analyzing the designing concept and the designing means of the architects in transferring an old storehouse into a modern museum, the topic does research of the successful experiment in continuing the historic and cultural context and adapting the new function of the architectural heritage itself and its environment. And these researches can give us some inspiration and reference in our correlative research work.

Abstract: According to the current China fire protection code, the main hall as a fire compartment and its evacuation distance in this conference center both over the standards. To solve the problems, the performance-based design is put forward in the paper, such as setting up the "Quasi safety zone". For the main hall, 4 fire scenarios have been designed, next simulated and analyzed. According the result, setting fire protection facilities such as mechanical smoke control system, can achieve safety of evacuation.
