Abstract: Microalgae could modulate their photosynthesis to acclimate to CO2-limiting stress through inducing a carbon-concentrating mechanism (CCM) which included carbonic anhydrases and inorganic carbon (Ci) transporters. However, Ci-specific transporters have not been well described in algae so far. The former studies indicated that low CO2-inducible protein (Lci) played a significant role in the CCM, could increase Ci uptake and intracellular Ci accumulation under low CO2 conditions. The full-length cDNA encoding Lci was obtained from oleaginous microalgae Dunaliella parva, which include 1302 bp open reading frame (ORF), 255 bp 5′-untranslated sequence and 447 bp 3′-untranslated sequence. Similarity analysis revealed that the highest identity was found among Dunaliella parva, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and Volvox carteri. The Dunaliella parva Lci also showed wide similarity with other species.

Abstract: Ultrasound was adopted to prepare emulsion fuels between bio-oil and 0# diesel. The effects of ultrasound power and treating time on the stability of emulsion fuels were investigated. Excellent stability with stable time as long as 35 hours was obtained under an ultrasound power of 80W and a treating time of 3 minutes. Malvern nanometer particle size analyzer (Zetasizer Nano S90) was used to study the droplet size of emulsion fuels. The emulsion fuels with smaller droplet size had longer stable time. And the droplet size of the optimal emulsion fuel was around 0.4 um.

Abstract: Make a 3-D model finite element analysis on high-speed gear strength. Firstly, set up 3-D finite element model of three-teeth high-speed gear, and give a detailed explanation of how to choose flange thickness and number of teeth. Then analyse and calculate the gear contact strength and tooth bending strength of high-speed gear, and make a comparison with master gear strength. The calculation result shows that tooth bending strength of high-speed gear has increased by 5.31% and the gear contact strength has increased by 41.3%, compared to master gear, indicating that high-speed gear has a wide application.

Abstract: The electromagnetic transient modeling method was presented for the system, the system equivalent and model treatment were also concerned. The EMTDC (electromagnetic transient simulation software) was used to establish the simulation model covered a total of 5 HVDC transmission lines, including a ±800kV UHVDC transmission system from Yunnan to Guangdong. The use of detailed converter model can solve the problem of limitations in previous studies. The research focused on the dynamic stability and commutation failure when kinds of faults occurred in AC/DC system. The result of the work has provided a theoretical foundation for such system, also provided a feasible way for the dynamics study of large-scale multi-infeed HVDC system by using of the electromagnetic transient simulation model.

Abstract: Constructed Intensified Biological Bed (CIBB) is a new sewage disposal technology based on subsurface flow constructed wetland and biological aerated filter. The CIBB was applied for serious polluted transboundary river water. The removal rates of pilot scale CIBB on simulated Tiaozi River system CODcr、NH3-N and TN were over 70%, 90%, 60% respectively. The hydraulic loading of CIBB reached 4.8m•d-1, and CODcr organic loading was 185g•(m3d) -1 and the ammonium loading was 19 g•(m3d) -1. If the CIBB is used on the Tiaozi River, CODcr and ammonium in outflow of CIBB system will reach class V standards of Environmental quality standard for surface water (GB3838-2002).

Abstract: Vegetation which suffers from heavy metal stresses can cause changes of leaf color, shape and structural changes. The spectral characteristics of vegetation leaves is related to leaf thickness, leaf surface characteristics, the content of water, chlorophyll and other pigments. So the eco-physiology changes of plants can be reflected by spectral reflectance. Studies on the spectral response of vegetation to heavy metal stress can provide a theoretical basis for remote sensing monitoring of metal pollution in soils. In recent decades, there are substantial amounts of literature exploring the effects of heavy metals on vegetation spectra.

Abstract: In recent years, it is very important for China to maintain the strong and sustainable economic growth, and we believe enhancing human capital investment is the key. According to the statistics, China's current human capital investment has fallen into the low-level trap, which means that the economic growth heavily depends on labor-intensive and resource-driven investment, and the relationship between human and physical capital investment becomes imbalanced. In addition, the coexistence of human capital shortage and employment pressure, the mismatch between human capital investment structure and talent demand, and insufficient human capital investment caused by unfair income distribution are becoming more and more serious. We advise a re-examination of our human capital investment strategy as the main policy to solve the problems.

Abstract: The environmental problems about soil and water are critical to the sustainable agricultural production, which are the core issues of the national stable development. With the agricultural modernization and the trend of ecological development, the contradiction between environmental protection and economic development has become increasingly prominent. Recognizing Henan’s population, resources, environmental situation, comparative advantages, prominent regional features, actively seeking for Henan provincial road of sustainable development of agriculture so as to realize the rise of the central region, which is of important realistic significance.

Abstract: Green building is the inevitable way of implementing sustainable development in the construction industry. Based on the cost-benefit analysis of green building from the perspectives of governments, owners, and implementers, this paper offers the cost-benefit equation of each participant, and subsequently establishes the cost-benefit equilibrium model of participants during the progress of green building. Finally, the authors proposed strategies on promoting green building in terms of the stakeholders’ benefits and cost.
