Abstract: Small cohesion clay slope is possible to slide along the plane slip surface or log-spiral slip surface. Based on the upper bound theory and energy principle, this paper deduced the critical height of the inclined top clay slope. The sliding mode of plane slip surface and log-spiral slip surface is studied. Finally, an engineering example is analyzed and the critical height calculation is introduced.

Abstract: In this paper, elastic stress solution of cylindraceous double-concrete shaft lining was obtained by plane strain model. We derived the dimensionless formula of interface pressure of the double wall. So considering of that the concrete strength were largely improved under multiaxial compressed, we got the relationship between concrete strength increased coefficient of inner, outer shaft lining and geometry size, elastic-module, Poisson’s ratio of shaft lining by theoretical deriving, then the formulate of double-concrete shaft lining ultimate bearing capacity was proposed based on multiaxial strength criterion of concrete (G-W Failure Criteria) which advised by the existing design of concrete structure specification. All these provided a theoretical basis for rational calculating the ultimate bearing capacity of double-concrete composite shaft lining. The results were great significance for us to reduce the concrete design strength grade of shaft lining and project cost by using double-concrete composite shaft lining.

Abstract: Bionic shape provides inexhaustible creative inspirations for architects, however for building construction, which also brings new challenge to engineers. Because structural mechanics and construction implementation need accurate space orientation, dimension, and figuration, the exactly geometrical modeling is absolutely necessary. This paper presents the methods of mathematically modeling of bionic shapes with an example of a Conch shape Concert Hall in Xiamen in the design practice, and draw inferences to more complex shapes and structures for design reference.

Abstract: The south gate bridge of the Sanmenkou cross-harbor bridge at Xiangshan County lied in the East China Sea coastal waters. The foudation for the bridge pier in the water used bored piles, the greatest depth up to 42m. This article described the Program selection, design and construction methods about the construction trestle and platform when the piles foundation were built in the water.

Abstract: Virtual reality technology has the characteristics of freely interaction and living simulation, the application of virtual reality technology in civil engineering construction has a wide application prospect. In this paper the author introduced the integrally migration virtual construction of a memorial archway, the application of 3D studio max software simulated the integrally migration construction process of the memorial archway including the protection of the memorial archway, foundation underpinning, cutting off columns and lifting, rotation, translation, dropping and placing of the memorial archway etc., to test the construction project feasibility and obtained satisfactory results.

Abstract: In order to resist the landslides at the Chongqing-Huaihua Railway, A new 82m long open cut tunnel is constructed under normal operation of the railway, in spite of the HV contact wire overhead and tracks below the line. The tracks are reinforced by suspending every other track panel, so that construction of the open cut tunnel foundation under the ballast bed can be executed without affecting safe operation of the railway; arch-shaped steel pipe supports are used to decrease the interchange of HV contact wire during the construction without affecting normal operation of the railway; arch lining trolley is created to lift, slide and be electricity-proof, so that the work above the contact wire would not contact with the wire, and construction of arch ring and changing formwork would not be obstructed by normal operation. These new and creative schemes and techniques may provide approaches to constructing open cut tunnels for electric railways.

Abstract: New full hall scaffolds with pulley-clip style formwork support system is adopted in the concert hall of Changsha. This paper presents the concept of the complete equivalent initial imperfection according to the characteristics of too many influential factors on the high formwork supporting frame,then makes the complete equivalent initial imperfectione equivalent to assumed equivalent horizontal load in order to ensure the safety of the frame. At the same time, it gets a three-dimensional model by the general finite element software ANSYS 10.0. Based on the results of experiment and finite element analysis, it gets the recommended value of assumed equivalent horizontal load. The study on the high formwork supporting frame with pulley-clip style provides some reference for other similar projects.

Abstract: To evaluate the sustainable development level of construction in Shandong, China, the model was built by principal component analysis method. Meanwhile, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and basic rules of statistics were fully used to set up the index system. The data from 2007 to 2009 were processed by SPSS software, through calculation, the degree of sustainable development were shown intuitively.

Abstract: Strategic plan is important to the enterprises’ long development. Now, in China, most of the supervise enterprises have developed into the consultation institute. With the process of exploitation and international strategic in China, drawing a strategic plan for the consultation institute is necessary for its existence and surviving in the hard market competition. Based on the objective analysis of the inner advantages and weakness, the outer opportunities and challenges on a company, a SWOT matrix is found to get a sustainable development strategic plan for the consultation institute.

Abstract: In order to improve construction site management, we make the architect’ position as the starting point for our research ,analyze the similarities and differences between the project manager and the architect and transform the traditional building construction management system from centralized system into flat -like system. Furthermore, we propose that the implementation of the system must be assisted with the construction of credit system and the establishment and implementation of personal practice insurance system.
