Abstract: Rail transit system and buses are the two main modes of public passenger transportation between adjacent cities in China. The development of public transport system and especially that of the rail transit may promote the sustainable development of the region. According to principle of utility maximization, this paper predicts passengers’ traffic mode choices based on evaluation model of passenger’s general traffic expenses. This paper analyzes the game relation of pricing between Rail Company and Bus Company on the condition of free competition from the perspective of maximizations of profit. It presents the model of public transportation pricing strategy and the model of subsidy policy in two situations respectively, which are when government subsides public transportation and when government does not. This paper provides basis for related administrative departments to make policies on sustainable transport pricing.

Abstract: Based on the designed evaluation index system of the Inner Mongolia highway traffic sustainable development, this paper used PCA-DEA composite evaluation model to evaluate the Inner Mongolia highway traffic sustainable development by using SPSS and Excel software. The results show that the DEA are effective in 2007 and 2009, and the DEA are not effective in the rest of the ten years but it increases returns to scale in these years, which indicates that increasing inputs can get more outputs. The technologies in 2007, 2008 and 2009 are effective, which shows that Inner Mongolia autonomous region has paid attention to the technology development and utilization in highway construction in recent years. It is clear that Inner Mongolia highway traffic is towards the direction of the sustainable development.

Abstract: Based on the data and assumptions of Modeling Problem B in the 12th National Mathematical Contest, and through building the models, this paper studies the node allocation in the traffic patrol service platform jurisdiction, the full and fast blockade of the platform scheduling, a reasonable increase of the service platform in the blind area , the evaluation of the service platform, and the best design of the police lockdown plan. Furthermore, combined with the analysis of the police time, the balanced degree and effective coverage, the model is optimized.

Abstract: Nowadays,with the rapid development of urbanization and the rapid growth of amount of private vehicles, the issues for urban traffic congestion are becoming prominent, aslo they will be one of the core problems and the focus of social attention that every country in the world are facing. In this paper, some problems related to traffic congestion are discussed,which restrict the cities’development. Through a brief analysis about the traffic congestion, this paper presents some new countermeasures and suggestions,meanwhile gives a overall reference how to relieve urban traffic congestion, including the different ways of constructions for transport infrastructures, and also the reasons for priority to the development of public transport .Moreover,details of measures designs suitable for relieving the traffic congestion are involved in this paper.

Abstract: In China, Hangzhou is the first city to set up the Public Bicycle System. Now, the System has been the largest bike- sharing program in the world. The software of Hangzhou Public Bicycle System was developed by our team. There are many and many technology problems in the decision of intelligent dispatch. Among of these problems, determining how to find the key stations to give special care is very important. In this paper, a improved k-means algorithm is used to recognize the key stations of Hangzhou Public Bicycle System. At first, by passing over the two week’s real data, a rent-return database is initialed. Then the algorithm builds minimum spanning tree and splits it to gets k initial cluster centers. The key stations are determined from the rent-return database by the algorithm. Practice examples and comparison with the traditional k-means algorithm are made. The results show that the proposed algorithm is efficient and robust. The research result has been applied in Hangzhou.

Abstract: In order to evaluate traffic operation status of signalized intersection in slight snowy weather, it was studied that the influence of slight snow on capacity and level of service (LOS) of signalized intersection. Data of timing, vehicle’s starting loss time, saturated headway of straight vehicle and delay of one signalized intersections in sunny and slight snowy weather were observed by video method. Stop-line method was adopted to calculate the capacity of signalized intersection and LOS was evaluated by American standard. It showed that capacity of signalized intersection decreased by 7% and LOS declined one level in slight snowy weather compared with on sunny weather.

Abstract: This paper analyzed the statistical relationships among lane-changing, speed and density of traffic flow in different lanes of urban expressway weaving area under a given traffic condition and LOS two. A series of models was recommended. And then, the effectiveness between the recommended model and the existing model was compared. Although the optimization effect not very clear, but it shows that the lane-changing factors have some effects .

Abstract: Large-scale events are characterized by temporally large-scale passengers and spatially short-term aggregation. To transport high intensity passengers aggregated in short term safely and efficiently, the key is to build a reliable, flexible, and green sustainable pattern of the multi-modal transportation system. This paper presents a multi-modal transportation system oriented for large- scale events, and intensive transportation system, coordinated non-Motorized traffic system and self-improving auxiliary traffic system is designed respectively. Based on statistical data of travel modes and passenger satisfaction questionnaire during Shanghai Expo, the multi-modal transportation system case of Shanghai Expo is studied, and the application effects and enlightenments of this system are discussed in detail, aiming at offering the reference for the design of urban multi-modal transport system for large-scale events.

Abstract: In the face of increasingly congested urban traffic caused by all sorts of harm, how to solve the traffic congestion problem in the urban is becoming the major hot spot which domestic and foreign experts and scholars pay close attention to and study. This paper in a microscopic angle to analyze the problem -- urban traffic intersection congestion,not in macroscopical city planning, transportation planning, urban traffic demand to discuss. Through exploring the urban road system structure and operational mechanism, development of the automobile overpass is to solve the intersection congestion.

Abstract: National and provincial arterial highway facilities in China are the places with significant safety concerns and these is a real need to have a practically feasible way to evaluate traffic safety maintenance. The paper establishes the evaluation index system and evaluation model of arterial highway facilities traffic safety maintenance; calibrates the model parameter through AHP; establishes facility data collecting methods and standards; and selects several provincial highways as test section to testify the efficiency of the established model through the relativity analysis of the calculation values and experts’ subjective score values. The results show that this method can provide the basis for traffic safety maintenance of the National and provincial arterial highway facilities.
