Abstract: This paper carries the study on the method and index of rationality evaluation of energy utilization process. Based on the unreasonableness analysis for traditional method and index of rationality evaluation, the rationality taking exergy analysis and exergy efficiency as evaluation method and index for energy utilization process is discussed, and the method of exergy analysis and index of exergy efficiency is established. The method and index of rationality evaluation could reveal the essence of the energy devaluation and provide a theoretical basis for utilizing energy rationally.

Abstract: In order for current laboratory studies of strata performances under high temperature to be applied in Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) technology, the temperature scope (range) of UCG must be studied. Based on the heat conduction differential equation, this paper simulates the transverse section temperature distribution of UCG in the multi-physics coupling field. It demonstrates that the strata properties at a range of two meters are affected by high temperature, and the influence on sandstone is more obvious than that of coal. The temperature curves show a trend of linear to nonlinear as time goes. This paper presents the precedent of using multi-field coupling calculation to simulate UCG.

Abstract: With the expansion of power network, Power network stability problems have arised up, the short-circuit current of the device will also significantly exceeded. There exist many problems such as the reliability of power supply reduced, the threat of natural disasters of all the contact line among electromagnetic loop increased, etc. This article is to explore how to achieve optimal efficiency goals. This paper attempt to discuss this problem from the respect of technology and economics, using the Application of Optimal Control Theory to calculate the best model of electromagnetic ring. It is a useful discussion on the economic operation of power systems.

Abstract: The phenomenon of icing on insulators was common in power system, therefore, the research on insulator potential of different icing length is meaningful for clearing the ice on insulators. 110kV non-ceramic insulator (FXBW-110/120) was taken as an example, the model based on finite element static electric field is built in ANSYS to analyze the effect on potential distribution of insulator surface based on different icing length. The result shows that: the potential of clean non-ceramic insulator is not well distributed, surface potential of insulator is not affected greatly when icing length is below 60cms; The end potential of insulator is greatly changed when the icing length is up to 70cms; The whole surface potential of insulator is changed and insulation capability is droped obviously when the icing length is up to 80cms.

Abstract: The coal-dominated energy structure in China will not be changed for a long period of time due to the resource situation. The Chinese government officially released the first "Coal Industry Policy” on November 29, 2007, which made it clear that 13 large coal bases would be constructed in China, and circular economy and resource comprehensive utilization would be priority developed. Therefore, environmental protection guide for developing circular economy in energy (coal) chemical industry base should be established to ensure the development of circular economy, protect the consumption of resource and energy, reduce emission of pollutants, and guide the development of energy (coal) chemical industry base. Based on the results of the present study, the article describes the methodology, framework, technical infrastructure and basic content of the “Environmental Protection Guide for Developing Circular Economy in Energy (coal) Chemical Industry Base”.

Abstract: The gas intake system, micro-turbine (MT) system and the absorption chiller within a MT based Distributed Energy System (DES) demonstration project in Shanghai were experimentally modified. An Computer Aided Testing(CAT) system, including exhaust gas flow rate metering, gas temperature, gas pressure and gas composition testing instruments, together with the data acquisition module of MT, was added to continually monitor and record the real-time data of DES, which is the foundation for further MT based DES energy management, optimal operation and control strategies research .

Abstract: This study releases a fact that the national energy supply system could extend its spatial bordering as the demands for the fuels, especially oil and gas, increased and the structure of energy supply diversified. It is, therefore, that a coordinated energy supply would be a key issue for national energy security, not only because an uneven distribution of mineral resources of both a country and the whole world but also the changeable environments for national energy supply itself. The case study of Chinese snowstorm in 2008 just proved it, and to say nothing of the recent Japan's nuclear crisis.

Abstract: SO2 Emission of sintering flue gas accounts for more than 70% of total SO2 emission of steel industry. The purpose of this paper was to use steel slag for desulfurization of sintering flue gas. Based on traditional circulating fluidized beds (CFB) for flue gas desulfurization (FGD), a new dry digestion CFB-FGD process was developed. The new process eliminated the traditional digestion procedure, and the functions of the reactor include preliminary dust collection, digestion and desulfurization. An pilot CFB installation with maximum flow rate of 8000 Nm3/h for flue gas desulfurization was established. The desulfurization effects of calces, converter slag and blast furnace slag were investigated under the following experimental conditions: temperature of inlet flue gas, 150 °C; temperature of outlet flue gas, 75 °C. Relative humidity, 13%; flue gas flow rate, 6800 Nm3/h; Ca/S ratio, 1.2. The results showed that all of the desulfurization agents had desulfurization capability and the desulfurization efficiency of calces was the best, followed by converter slag and blast furnace slag. The removal efficiency of steel slag ranged from 75% to 82%. Considering solid waste utilization, the application of steel slag in desulfurization using dry CFB has a promising future.

Abstract: The flexural capacity and deflections of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) beams were discussed in this paper based on the nonlinear fracture mechanics. Analytical Equations describing the flexural capacity and deflections of the SFRC flexural members were proposed. Five series of steel fiber reinforced mortar beam specimens with different steel fiber volume fractions were tested. It is found that the flexural capacity before and after cracking depends largely on the tensile strength and the residual tensile strength of SFRC, respectively. The proposed design method can reflect not only the ability of SFRC to resist plastic strain, but also its contributions to toughness and crack arresting ability.
