Abstract: In this paper, decision-making tree and Markov process are used to select maintenance strategies of in-service bridges with the minimum LCC (life-cycle cost). Other costs in life cycle are considered comprehensively when establish the model to find the optimal maintenance strategy. Finally, an example is given to verify the efficiency of the model. The research methodology can provide effective support to bridge maintenance management decision-maker for making management strategies.

Abstract: Buildings industry consume a great deal of energy and also have great influence to environment during the life cycle. So it is essential to carry out the scientific development as soon as possible. First, This paper makes an analysis of the factors that influence the scientific development from the perspective of life cycle of building. These factors include the type of buildings, energy consumption, water consumption, the impact on environment. the remove and disposal of waste buildings and so on. Second, it sets forth the significance of implementation of life cycle cost theory to the scientific development of buildings industry and how to boost the scientific development of buildings by means of life cycle cost management. At last, the paper also makes an analysis of the status in quo of life cycle cost theory and the scientific development of buildings. It gives some advices on the scientific development of buildings industry.

Abstract: Construction bidding is dealing in future contract of fixed price first and made bargain: 拍板成交;成交 later, which decide that bidding is a high-risk activity. Quoted risk is object, uncertain and losses, bidder must correctly assess quoted risk if he hopes to manage project successfully. The article have built unit price risk assessment model based on AHP, gathered and neaten subjective judgment, ascertained hierarchic layers according to correlation and subordinate relationship, formed a layer system of risk factor, gotten judgment matrix and weight vector, quantified risk loss of every subproject, obtained the quoted risk ratio. All ensured bidder can find the critical risk control point and date back to subproject where the risk existed. So bidders can manage risk actively and prospectively. Exemplified risk assessment model of a residential house bidding in Hangzhou at last.

Abstract: The construction industry has experienced a great deal of development over the years by both developed and developing countries. Tunnel construction is one of such aspects which have over the year developed in its methods of construction. Research, however has shown that methods of tunnel construction are becoming more complex and the risk associated to it is increasing, therefore, the need for the application of risk assessment to prevent accidents in tunnel construction exists. This paper aims at highlighting some of the risk in tunnel construction and the theoretical and practical method of risk assessment that can be used to minimize these tunnel risks.

Abstract: It is difficult to assess only by qualitative approaches the impact of Chinese new housing policies on the Changsha real estate market, due to its complexity. In this paper, hence, a model was proposed to evaluate the influence of the new policies quantitatively, by introducing variables which indicate the policies. Based on the analyses, reasonable solutions and suggestions have been put forward, which could provide theoretic supports for the sustainable development of Changsha real estate.

Abstract: The instability of permafrost directly results of the differential settlement of railway subgrade, which brought a great threat to the security operation of railway. In order to obtain the top-limit (zero-temperature interface) data of permafrost, according to the testing environment and the requirements for and use of different dielectric constant, using ground-penetrating radar (GPR) detection. The experimental results show that the method is accurate and effective, and we can get better material data on the zero-temperature interface.
