Abstract: Low-carbon city development has become the inevitable choice for Chinese urban sustainable development. From the perspective of ecological ethics, by learning from the experience of developed countries, low-carbon urban construction, this paper proposes to slow down the speed of city expansion, to avoid the errors occurred in the process of the western industrialized urban development, and to change from external expansion to internal development so as to achieve harmony between city and nature.

Abstract: This paper examines the factors that affect carbon emissions based on the panel data for 9 western provinces in China over the period 1990–2009. Our empirical results show that the output size, industrial structure and energy consumption structure are the main factors affecting carbon emissions, and the income level has a negative effect to carbon emissions. Some policy implications of the empirical results have finally been proposed

Abstract: Colleges are society's human resources training base. Construction of low-carbon colleges comes up with the development trend of global energy conservation and emission reduction. Based on five basic characteristics of low-carbon campus, this essay discussed the construction of four functional modules (low-carbon research institutions, high quality talents, environmental Infrastructure and effective supervision system) in low-carbon campus and management mode among them. This essay provided a research foundation for improving the competitiveness of colleges, guiding graduates’ and undergraduates’ low-carbon environmental awareness, and promoting high efficiency and low-carbon development of our society.

Abstract: The government green procurement policy is put forward in the background of low-carbon economy. This paper aims at clarifying the interaction mechanism between the Chinese government green procurement policy and the low-carbon economy, meanwhile, making some targeted recommendations, in hope of promoting the sustained, rapid and sound development of the low-carbon economy of China.

Abstract: Low-carbon consumption is one of the consumption pattern which is worthy of popularizing. At the same time, consumption itself is the behavior which is decided by consumers themselves. When the tactics to popularize are not in accordance with civilian thinking characteristics, people are instinctive to exclude the low-carbon consumption. This article summarized the civilian thinking characteristics by investigations. And then drew up the tactics of popularizing low-carbon consumption as the guiding device, in order to give civilian more reasons and environment to choose low-carbon consumption. Low-carbon consumption can more easily to be accepted widely by civilian.

Abstract: The green process innovation of manufacturing industry is a multilevel, multi index, complex and dynamic system. Applying system dynamics method, this research refines the feedback path and gives its causality and flow chart according to its general construction. Then, the system dynamics model of green process innovation is developed in order to explore the operation rules of green process innovation system in Chinese manufacturing industry.

Abstract: The proposition of low-carbon tourism concept gave birth to the new developing rules of scenic area. Understanding the connotation of low-carbon scenic area and build the evaluation and certification of low-carbon scenic area as quickly as possible, which is the theoretical basis of low-carbon transition in scenic area. This paper builds a concept model of low-carbon Scenic Area by referring to the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (UNCSD)'s DSR (Driving — Status — Response) model, and understands the connotation of low-carbon scenic area from five levels which include development stage of scenic area, resources and environment, emission-reduction technology, consumer operation, policy concept. On the base above, to construct the evaluation system of low-carbon scenic area by choosing four level indicators including low-carbon resources evaluation, the development evaluation, the awareness evaluation and the experience evaluation , which can provide a reference for the development potential of low-carbon scenic area and provide the theoretical direction and the technical support for the inspect of future low-carbon scenic area, the cooperation of emission reduction projects and the establishment of discharge compensating system.

Abstract: Based on the economy data of Shenzhen in the year of 1980-2009, this paper describes the status and evolution of industrial structure, and points out that Shenzhen should focus on the integration and optimization of the secondary and the tertiary industries, especially improve the ratio of production of the tertiary industry to GDP of Shenzhen, which should grope to a more efficient economic-growth mode in the next period for the low carbon development.

Abstract: This paper first conducts reliability testing and exploratory factor analysis according to the relevant data about Jiuzhaigou Scenic, obtaining satisfactory reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. Then the paper builds structure equation of sustainable development. The empirical analysis shows that, the facilities and management in the spot have directly positive effect on sustainable development. Management service in the spot has more significant influence than public facilities; for the long-term sustainable development, much more attention should be paid to the higher qualities in the scenic spot, rather than simply cater to the customer satisfaction.

Abstract: Low-carbon economy has become the trend of global economic development. Low-carbon tourism is a new tourism development method and an upgrade of eco-tourism in the context of a low carbon economy. It enjoys unique advantages in response to low-carbon economy and can promote low-carbon economy development through low-carbon process in the aspects including tourism environment, facilities, and consumption. It could promote low-carbon tourism through Perfecting management system, strengthening education and propaganda, developing incentives, building low-carbon tourism experimental demonstration area and increasing the research and application of the low-carbon technology in tourism.
