Abstract: The purpose of this work is to integrate GIS techniques into the eutrophication assessment process of a large scale coastal area – Bohai Bay. Specifically, based on ArcGIS8.3 Desktop, a geodatabase was built for the management of the field monitoring data of Bohai Bay. Using the existing functions of the GIS platform, NQI index and a fuzzy assessment method were adopted respectively for the assessment of the trophic state of this area. Both methods generated salient spatial variations in the assessment results which were often missed by other attempts and thus demonstrated the power of the GIS techniques. The specific trends of the results provide clues for further studies.

Abstract: In this paper, the integration of wavelet neural network fault diagnosis system is established based on information fusion technology. the effective combination of fault characteristic information proves that integration of wavelet neural networks make better use of a variety of characteristic information than the list of wavelet neural networks to solve difficulties and problems which are difficult to resolve by a single network.

Abstract: This paper examines the impact of debt financing on overinvestment in Chinese listed companies. Using an accounting-based framework to measure over-investment and free cash flow, we find evidence that, debt financing can’t mitigate overinvestment in Chinese listed manufacturing companies. Further tests examine whether firm’s governance structures are associated with overinvestment. The evidence suggests that governance factors also can’t mitigate over-investment in China. Reasons lie that hard constraint of debt financing doesn’t play its role in China. There also exists assets maturity and debt maturity mismatching problems in Chinese manufacturing listed companies.

Abstract: Adaptive resource allocation in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems is a very promising technique to improve spectral efficiency. According to actual transmission behavior of the channel environment over low voltage power line, M-ary Quantum Evolutionary Algorithm (MQEA) is proposed to allocate bit and power on different sub-carrier channel, which maximizes the total data rate of the system in a downlink transmission with a total power and bit-error rate(BER) constraints. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieve a higher data rate.

Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the properties of a simple function. As an application, we present a full-step interior-point algorithm for linear complementarity problem. The algorithm uses the simple function to determine the searching direction and define the neighborhood of central path. The full-step used in the algorithm has local quadratic convergence property according to the proximity function which is also constructed by this simple function. We derive the iteration complexity for the algorithm and obtain the best-known iteration bounds for linear complementarity problem.

Abstract: Eddy current testing is a popular nondestructive testing (NDT) technology with a solid theoretical foundation. This paper presents a new crack test scheme which uses a self-organizing maps (SOM) network and a radial basis function (RBF) network to process the crack feature signals in eddy current NDT. And Fisher ratio method is adopted to optimize the RBF network centers and simplifies the network structure. The validity of this crack detection algorithm is verified by an experiment in which the wave signals of different crack locations and depths are acquired from the simulations and used as the training and testing samples. Finally, the assessment of the network’s accuracy is performed and the result is satisfactory.

Abstract: In this paper a kind of hierarchical fuzzy systems was introduced. The characteristics and structural relation of this hierarchical fuzzy system were analyzed. The sensitivity between the input variables and the output variables and the position of variables in the hierarchical fuzzy system were given according to the importance of variables. The weight coefficient of variables was confirmed applying the methods of analytic hierarchical process (AHP). Then the structural analysis and the weight coefficient were applied to the forewarning system of oil drilling.

Abstract: With the development of control theory and communication technology, networked control systems have got more and more attention. The traditional PID controller is no longer suitable to meet performance requirements of time-delay control systems. And communication network is introduced into control systems that makes systems arise some problems, such as time delays, data dropout and so on. These problems affect the control performance badly. A model based on the single-neuron PID controller for networked control systems is proposed to improve the control performance. The design method for controller is based on neural network, traditional PID controller and Smith predictive control. The simulation results represent the model we proposed has better control performance.

Abstract: Based on the Transcad all-or-nothing assignment model is a kind of static method; do not consider the travel time will be affected by traffic flow. The insufficient is that it does not conform to reality. In order to solve the all-or-nothing assignment model that to putting all of traffic flow on the shortest path, the text through the defining of the effective path and the traffic flow of the effective path to improve all-or-nothing assignment model. So the other road traffic flow can also assign and the results can reflect the assignment of urban traffic directly. It can be used to study the dynamic traffic assignment and traffic simulation analysis.

Abstract: According to operation situation of power plant’s EP, the technical measures of energy saving in low-voltage power supply system have been analyzed over the years. Based on the classical theory of electrostatic precipitator and the operating status quo of EP, the paper has been focused on the principles of energy-saving and emission-reduction EP, established high-voltage current supply energy-saving and emission-reduction EP dust removal efficiency of mathematical models, analyzed energy saving and emission reduction technical measures of the low voltage device and proposed the technical solutions. It provided reference for design, adjustment, operation and energy saving of power plant’s EP.
