Abstract: In order to predict the new residential property market price, a Fuzzy Neural Network (FNN) prediction model was proposed. It was used to estimate the appropriate price level for a new property by learning from historical data on the correlations between various factors that influence the prices of properties and the actual selling prices. In particular, an artificial neural network prediction model was developed to compare it accuracy with the fuzzy neural network prediction model. The experimental results show that the fuzzy neural network prediction model has strong function approximation ability and is suitable for residential properties price prediction depending on the quality of the available data.

Abstract: Multimedia-based teaching and learning is an interesting, interactive, innovative and individualized teaching-learning mode. But according to our survey, there are often some problems in multimedia teaching and learning in practice, such as: lack of emotional exchange between students and teachers, insufficiency of student’s independent learning ability, students’ dilemma in what to choose to learn from diverse online contents, unexpected technical failures, etc. All these factors affect the effectiveness of multimedia teaching. Teachers and students who involve in the multimedia-based English teaching-learning should pay full attention to the problems above, so as to take full advantage of the multimedia technology to improve the effectiveness of the multimedia teaching and learning.

Abstract: With the application and development of computer-aided language teaching, the multimedia technology has become an important feature of modern college English education. However, though the technology has a lot of advantages in promoting the English teaching, it also brings about some problems that can not be neglected. In this article, the author analyzes both the positive and negative effects of the multimedia technology on college English teaching, and puts forward some suggestions on how to solve the problems and build up a harmonious classroom environment with technology.

Abstract: An appropriate shape designing of a snowboard course (currently known as a "halfpipe") is the precondition to achieve higher scores in a competition. We divided the whole process into four procedures: Air, Transition Processes and Pump, Twist Techniques. Elliptical transition of a halfpipe was put forward instead of the traditional circular one to optimize the shape, by simplifying this problem into some dynamical partial differential equations. We proved three theorems and used numerical methods to calculate the optimal value. The optimal shape we designed is mainly based on the initial velocity and combines all the known targets into two calculable physical variables. Simulation with common parameters from FIS indicates that our results accord with the practice and gives us the optimal shape of the snowboard courses for various levels of competition with different initial velocities. Plenty of sensitivity analysis shows that our designing is robust.

Abstract: In this paper, we proposed a new method to identify vinegar. First, we obtained the ultraviolet spectrum curves(samples) of five kinds of vinegar by ultraviolet spectrum scanning technology. Then, the samples of five kinds of vinegar were trained and tested by improved Multi-class Support Vector Machines(MSVM) for identification. The experimental results indicate that the method of combining ultraviolet spectrum technology and improved multi-class support vector machines is effective and accurate. The identification accuracy is 100%.

Abstract: This paper raise a latest and original design for the student attendance management system, which is helpful to strengthen teaching management and improve the quality of teaching. It has not only great significance and also broad application prospects. In this system the 915M long-range RFID tag is used and no access control is set, enabling students to access conveniently without punching card, that is effective to avoid queuing. Through the camera fixed overhead, the program can make real-time image acquisition and processing to count the number of students entering and going out. Combined with the RF reader, it can avoid the appearance of one student carrying muti-card to punch card instead of others.

Abstract: To assess the effectiveness of assisted problem-based learning (PBL) compared to a didactic approach in a pharmaceutics course. The comparison was performed among 215 in a 3-year pharmacy program. They were divided into 2 groups, each consisting of about 107 students. The control group was identified as the ‘traditional teaching’ group and studied pharmaceutical chemistry under a didactic model. The experimental group was identified as the ‘PBL teaching’ group and studied similar object under accomplished learning model. At the end of the experiment, there was a questionnaire answered by the students to write their opinions on PBL teaching. The scores of the students in the final examination and the results of the questionnaire were statistically evaluated through SPSS 13.0. PBL students scored significantly higher on the final examinations than the traditional class students. Moreover, the results to the questionnaire show that students are more willing to learn through PBL. Introducing PBL into pharmaceutics improves educational quality and effectiveness. Digital PBL cases stimulate interest in self-learning and motivate students to learn by themselves.

Abstract: Taking the example of teaching team construction of logistics management major of Guangdong Communication Polytechnic, the paper analyzes the building process in detail from the following five aspects. Firstly, set up the doubled qualified team combined by full-time and part-time teachers. Secondly, undertake team building in the leading of specialty construction and course reform. Thirdly, select outstanding leaders for the teaching team. Fourthly, draw support from competent departments in industries and industry associations to promote cooperation between colleges and enterprises and extend services for society. Finally, improve teaching skills and enhance cultivation of the team teachers’ vocational abilities. The article also proposes management strategies in building the teaching team by perfecting management and operation mechanism, establishing effective incentive mechanism and setting up scientific performance evaluation system.

Application of Task-Based Language Teaching in Web-Based College English Teaching in China’s Context
Abstract: In this paper I posit that the application of task-based language teaching (TBLT) in web-based college English teaching (WBCET) is a possible solution to the problems arose from the on-going web-based college English teaching reform in China. A study is designed to verify the enhancement of students’ comprehensive ability in English learning through the combination of TBLT and WBCET.
