Abstract: Basing on the traditional tri-axial test instrument with large scale specimen, the shear strength characteristics of municipal solid waste has been studied. The municipal solid waste is divided into three parts: the material that is easy to be biodegraded, reinforced material that is difficult to be biodegraded and the incompressible solid waste material. Two different proportions of these three parts, which are 50%, 15%, 35% and 65%, 10%, 25% is selected. A series of laboratory tests have been performed for different proportion of ingredients, different initial void ratios and different confining pressures. Testing results show that the initial void ratio and the proportion of ingredients are the main influence factor for the shear strength of the municipal solid waste. Besides, the principle effective stress increases with the axial strain and the confining pressure in a hardening increasing trend, and the principle effective stress decreases with the increase of the initial void ratio of the municipal solid waste.

Abstract: MPEG2 technology of Digital Video Broadcasting system has large difference than before, but their detection requirements are basically the same. Based on network detection, MPEG three-level alarm, screen layer alarm, demonstrates much channels, large-scale stream analysis, the mutual influence between the channel, and relationship between the stream. Through designed and compiled a test software, had get the results which verified previous analysis.Experiments have proved that this system is suitable for the provincial TV stream detection and network design and analysis.

Abstract: By analyzing the length measurement principle of interferometer, the key of environmental error compensation of interferometer is modeling the refractive index distribution along the measurement optical path. The spatio-temporal coupling models of temperature, pressure and humidity were established through the collected data by sensors, using the block pulse operator method. Then the model of refractive index over time along the optical path was obtained by Edlén’s formulation, and the environmental error compensation was achieved. The simulation results of lithography mask stage’s movement environmental flow and measurement showed that this method can compensate interferometer environmental error well, and the following residual error was reduced to less than 1nm so that the resolution level was achieved.

Abstract: A useful technique is adopted to study special solutions of a general Black and Scholes equation in this letter. Several kinds of new special solutions are obtained. This method is effective for finding special solutions of linear differential equation with variable coefficient.

Abstract: In this paper we introduce a stochastic age-dependent predator-prey system. Existence and uniqueness of strong solution for a stochastic population system of two species with age-dependent are proved. The analysis uses Barkholder-Davis-Gundy’s inequality,ItÔ's formula and some special inequalities to achieve our purpose.

Abstract: Taking dam body and steel liner in the gradual change segment of inlet of a hydropower station as the research target, structure analysis is carried out by use of the large finite element software. Temperature variation load and external pressure load equivalent to internal vacuum 0.2MPa pressure are considered. Stress and distribution of the dam, steel liner and the stiffener rings are obtained. The calculation results show that, steel liner structure in the gradual change segment has sufficient rigidity; the stress state of steel liner structure is very complex and the stress concentration in stiffener rings is significant; the stress value in sharp-angled area of stiffener ring structure is also very high. Anchor reinforcement with radial constraints and transverse stiffeners are suggested to add to the steel liner, so as to improve the force bearing conditions of steel liner structure in the gradual change segment of inlet. The obtained results and conclusions can be referenced for the design of steel liner structure in the gradual change segment of inlet.

Abstract: An automatic mesh generator AUTOMESH-3D is developed by the authors in this paper. The generator can adaptively produce hexahedral element meshes with an improved inside-out grid-based method. This method involves seven steps: STL model construction, geometric feature identification, cubic grid structure generation, jagged core mesh generation, surface-gap filling, boundary matching and quality improvement. Adaptive refinement, local refinement and boundary matching techniques are employed to generate eligible elements according to the model’s features and users’ requirements. Several examples of hexahedral element mesh generation with AUTOMESH-3D are given, and the effectiveness and robustness of the mesh generator are demonstrated.

Abstract: In order to satisfy the revamping of refinery and chemical equipments, a new kind of tray, enhanced jet tray (EJT), was presented. The hydrodynamic and mass transfer performances of EJT and new vertical sieve tray (New VST) were investigated with air-water-oxygen system in a stainless steel column of 1200mm internal diameter. Correlations of hydrodynamic parameters such as pressure drop, weeping and entrainment of EJT were obtained. The experimental results show that EJT has lower pressure drop, fractional weeping, entrainment and higher efficiency compared with New VST because of its special geometry characteristics.
