Abstract: The stress and strain on the surfaces of a rolling bearing has an important significance in bearing lifespan estimate, fault analysis, and stiffness calculation. Aimed at the contact problem of a deep groove ball bearing based on ANSYS, this paper mainly discusses three technologies, viz., parameterized modeling technology, division technology, and meshing technology, to provide a new method for setting the contact parameters in the process of finite-element analysis. The result shows that the method proposed in this paper is practicable, only with a small error relative to the Hertzian theory.

Abstract: With the principle, methods and steps of calculating compass error from observing the low height sun azimuth, the software program about calculating compass error based on VB (Visual Basic) environment has been given out. By analyzing the data regularity of Nautical Almanac, get the result that the data of Nautical Almanac shows the pattern of an arithmetic series, then with the data regularity and Compass Error’s calculating formula, a perfect software of calculating Compass Error is designed with Computer language Visual Basic. The data from observation and given can be put into the software program directly, avoid the complex of table lookup and data calculation, the software program has great effect to reduce the amount of calculation and raise the speed, precision and accuracy of calculating compass error.

Abstract: Select two types of nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) which they are different in ingredients, under two types of crude oil medium respectively, the test is carried out on the friction testing machine. The test result shows that under the constant intermediate-low rotate speed and constant temperature, the friction coefficient decreases as the load increases; under the constant intermediate-low load and constant temperature, the friction coefficient increases as the rotate speed increases.

Abstract: A new technique of thermal compensation resistance spot welding was used to weld light metal such as aluminum alloy sheet and magnesium alloy. The effects of welding parameters on the tensile shear strength of joint and nugget diameter were investigated. The tensile shear load and nugget of the joint increased with the increasing of welding time, whereas that of the joint decreased with the increasing of electrode force. The joint with the maximum tensile shear load of approximately 5 kN was obtained at the condition of 12 kA and 11 kA welding current for aluminum alloy and magnesium alloy, respectively. The results reveal that the thermal compensation resistance spot welding is a feasible method to weld aluminum alloy and magnesium alloy..

Abstract: Presently, there are a significant number of investigations that study the influences of the hydrogen embrittlement on pressure vessels for hydrogen storage. But few of them consider the effects of helium-3 decayed from hydrogen. This paper studies the effects of the high-pressure hydrogen on mechanical behavior of a kind of steel pressure vessel by elastic-plastic finite element simulations, based on the explosion tests data of 4-, 6-, 14- and 17-year hydrogen storage vessels and relating experimental data of materials properties. Then the mechanical responses of the 50-year hydrogen storage pressure vessel are predicted. The results provide guidelines for design and evaluating hydrogen storage vessels.

Abstract: Using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) to describe the relationship between Mo content and the amorphous content in deposites from the effects of the molybdate concentration on microstructure, phase content and morphology of the deposits. It is found when the Mo content is low to 18at.%, the deposits are composed of nanocrystalline main phases and the grain size is below 10nm with tiny particle at the basement surface. When Mo in 18~33at.%, the deposits are composed of amorphous phase up to more than 60wt.% proportion, and the grain size of the nanocrystalline existing in the deposits is stability of 3~10nm with tiny particle and well-distribution of the basement surface. When Mo content is exceeding 33at.%, the deposits performance is of the crystalline properties with more crystal defects in the coating.

Abstract: The critical speed is analyzed on critical speed of JP60C vehicles turbocharger with DyRoBeS, Based on the optimum design result, the lightening turbine wheel is casted adopting lost wax casting with rapid prototyping technology (RPT). The dynamic balance test is carried out in the TURBO TECHNICS. The calculation and test results show that the second-order critical speed of lightening rotor decreased compared with original turbocharger, and the working speed of turbocharger still between the second-order critical speed and the third-order critical speed.

Abstract: Lateral semi-active damper is designed by author based on the electro-hydraulic proportional valve, from the perspective angle of improving vehicle comfort; its purpose is to ensure vehicle driving safety. At the same time, the neural network adaptive control strategy is used for joint simulation of semi-active damper. The results show that lateral semi-active damper with the train body has significantly improved compared to the traditional passive lateral damper acceleration.

Abstract: The study described the sorption of Cd(II) by a novel extracellular biopolymer (B-11) produced from Bacillus cereus B-11. The effect of experimental parameters such as pH, initial concentration and contact time, sorbent dosage on the sorption was studied. The langmuir isotherm better fitted the sorption data, the maximum adsorption capacity was 80.64 mg.g-1. The kinetic rates were best fitted to the pseudo-second-order model. It was concluded that the prepared B-11 can be used as an effective and environmentally friendly biosorbent for the removal of Cd(II) ions from aqueous solution.

Abstract: This article introduced the scheme and method of stress monitoring and cable force monitoring of the central sail in China Navigation Museum. The stress of the important part of steel structure is key indices of the structure safety under construction and using process. By monitoring we can obtain field data to provide basis for the safety assessment and feedback for the future design and construction of similar complex structures.
